You don't have to pay this any mind I don't even care

Lately I've been getting depressed cause I can't find a job. I've been looking for the past 8 months and still nothing has turned up. And since I live in a small town there isn't really much I can work at and I can't really go out of town since I can't drive since I don't have my license nor do I have a car so any place I work at has to be in a reasonable walking distance. I've applied to numerous places, even going as far to apply for a job in fast food even though I really don't want to do that, but yet every place still turns me down. And recently I've aquired a cold and my nose has been runny for days and I've gotten a headache that won't go away and it really hasn't let me do anything at all. I also miss my friends since I really haven't seen them since I graduated. Being an adult sucks :C

tl;dr i'm depressed and sick and lonely and i hate it

It took me nine months to get my first job, and that was with help from the employment services (for students/young adults) and after acquiring three different certificates through said college. So don't dispair! It really is a difficult market out there, esp. for young people. Once you land that first job, though, it gets much easier :)

I'm in a small city, too, and no car; just public transport. Population: 31,000. Not too big.

Just keep going at it and use the Yellow Pages to see maybe if employment services offer workshops for food handling, customer service, WHMIS, etc. Those are great for resumes, esp. ones without prior work experience.

It's the summer so can you go around to the neighbors and ask them to do odd jobs or mow lawns in the meantime of applying?

Hmm.. if you have enough savings you could apply for a full time position and depending on salary move out and live in a shared flat?
