I get a lot of mad people posting messages to me based on my rating of their avatars and signatures in the respective threads.

I'm a very hard-to-please avatar/signature critic but I am a nice guy and I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression and believe I rate them poorly because I have a personal grudge. So I have a list of things I go by when rating avatars and signatures in the hopes that people will be a little less upset if I rate them poorly.

Word. But you gotta be honest. Because if you're not honest, you're a liar. And no one likes a lying kiss-butt. Lol.

When it comes to rating avatars and signatures my rubric is as followed.

ONE: I don't rate the same user's avatar/signature more than once unless he or she has changed their avatar/signature since last I rated.

TWO: I do no rate in a biased manner. I rate on quality, cropping, color and style.

THREE I don't rate based on the avatars/signatures subject in personal manner. (Meaning, Just because I don't like MLP, I will not rate a user's MLP avatar/signature poorly)

and FOUR: The only avatars/signature I'll rate poorly regardless of style or quality is Pokémon Sprites and text-only signatures. Those have no way to be credited to the user (sprites) and are already used so much. And pretty-words a good signature does not make. (signatures)

__________

So there you go. Sorry if I offended anyone recently and I'm so in advance if I offend anyone in the future.

I don't completely agree with the fourth one (disagree more when it comes to signatures then avatars) but the first three are things I really wished more people would do.

I'd be curious to know what you think of my signature then, considering mine is comprised of "pixel art" that I made.

I agree with BinaryPeaches. I feel like you're taking the idea of sprites and text (which can be very emblematic of the user) and putting it in a very small box. :c

Heya! A random link from the signature thread directed me here, but I found it quite interesting, but there's only one I disagree with, and it's the 4th one.

I agree that text-only sigs are terrible, but Pokemon-sprite ones can be good. Take, for example, Dragonfly-Dust's signature. It's clean, not too crammed, and basically has mostly sprites.
