Hoenn's Elite Four Ticks Me Off

I'm setting my mind to rant mode, but here's what ticks me off about Hoenn's Elite Four. In ORAS, the trainers at Victory Road were using Pokémon not native to Hoenn, and one of the NPCs at Ever Grande City said that the Elite Four not only use Hoenn-native Pokémon, but also non-native Pokémon. This raised me hope that Game Freak have fixed a major problem with the original RSE, being the lack of type diversity resulting in poor roster lineups for gym leaders and the Elite Four. It was then my heart was shattered when it turns out that Elite Four are still using 2-3 Pokémon from the same line. Phoebe still had two Bannettes and a Dusclops (both should've been replaced by Shednja and Jellicent), Glacia still had two Glalies, while her two Sealos were replaced by two Froslasses (one of each should've been replaced by Beartic and Dewgong), and Drake has two Flygons (one of them should've been replaced by Dragalgae). This has broke the camel's back for me, for this is the third time Game Freak has failed to fix the major problems the originals had with the remakes (FR/LG, HG/SS, and now OR/AS). I wish these remakes were never made. Who cares about the DexNav, the Eon Flute, or the Delta Episode, type diversity is the most important factor when making a roster for a region. I mean, what was Game Freak thinking when they made an Ice specialist as a member of the Elite Four, despite only being 3 lines in the Hoenn dex (one line she can't even use due to being a legendary), rather than making a Grass specialist, considering how strong Breloom can be as an ace Pokémon. By the time I'm done with the Delta Episode, I may try to go back to play Y until the inevitable third version/sequel is out.

I think when you face them the first time they were kind of trying to stay true to the originals. They have more diverse teams if you reface them after delta episode. Aka with megas and Pokemon from other generations.

My problem with that is they should've done this before, when you first encounter them, rather than postgame like previous remakes. The point of remakes is to fix whatever problems the originals had such as the Iron Boots in OoT, but Game Freak was lazy on fixing some of the roster lineups for Hoenn's gym leaders and Elite Four members.

I was kinda surprised that they had mutliple Pokémon of the same species as well. It seems really stupid.

Also, I have doubts about a third version, just saying.

What makes this most jarring is the fact that, as you mentioned, you obtain the National Dex, then the trainers in Victory Road have stuff not native to Hoenn, then the Elite Four are hardly any different from their RS counterparts. If they were to make one change with the trainers, it would have been nicer if they had done the same here, too.

I hate it that they had the same Pokemon. It was sloppy, lazy, dumb, retarded and CRAPPY. >:(

They just made this remake so... strict. It didn't really go far enough from its originals. Playing SoulSilver at the moment, still loving it.
