So, it has been a while PC. Quite a long while, really. So I have a lot of stuff that I would probably have blogged about had I been active, and I kinda want to share them, but I am just gonna relegate them to bullet points for now. Also, forgive me if some of this stuff is stuff you already know because I can't remember where exactly I left off with all of you.

WARNING LONG AND RANT-ISH

-My job has changed drastically; the main manager transferred to another location, so we got a new manager. For a couple weeks we were all totally worried that she was gonna be super strict and such. HA. Yeah right she is freaking amazing. She has totally turned the atmosphere around; the old boss was mean and would get angry about everything, so you were always intimidated by him. This one totally gets us and figured us out immediately and became best friends with out assistant manager. All the employees totally opened up and now really enjoy the job. She also tries really hard to get people to learn new skills. When she came, my main job was "Set" which is cleaning up the parlor in the morning before opening so it is presentable to guests. It is kinda the lowest job on the totem pole of opening jobs. She decided to train me on prep work (prepping pizza and salad bar ingredients, making dough, and pizza sauce). Due to a major shift in management though (we lost 4 of our five managers, essentially, although not all at once) that meant we lost most of our dough rollers, so she moved me up on that, and it is supposed to be the hardest opening job (AND IT IS OMG) But whereas I totally figured I would fail miserably, she knew how to push all of us just right, and now we have an incredibly well trained crew (well mostly...haha)

...And now they have moved me up to management trainee and I am learning how to be a shift supervisor. I feel incredibly intimidated and nervous but eh may as well go for it, right?

-On a somber note, my great grandmother passed away. I don't have much to say about this, since it has been quite a while since it happened, but she is very dearly missed.

-On a happier note again, I got a new computer! Which is really the main reason I had been gone so long. my laptop was freaking unreliable and a piece of **** that would shut down randomly at the slightest bump, and the screen went out so I had to hook it up to a monitor (thus defeating the "lap" purpose of the damned thing). I gimped that along as long as I could until a guy I know decided he needed to get rid of his desktop for some cash, and he asked me if I wanted it and I said "HELL YEAH" So now I can actually get on and hold a converstion with you guys with being booted off.

-And something i just wanna brag about...I came out to most of my coworkers (after the new manager came) and they are totally cool with it. My assistant manager had the funniest reaction,.since she apparently prides herself on her gaydar, and I didn't even ping. Woops! And then one of my coworkers, about two months after that, somehow STILL hadn't heard about it and she flipped out...because she was offended that I didn't tell her sooner xD. Gotta love my coworkers.

Which leads me to the big part...I managed to attempt asking a guy out. Backstory. I visit this local drive through coffee shop, like, a lot. And I know most of the crew there in some manner or another. Well one day there is a new guy and he catches my eye a bit but I figure eh, just another cute straight guy. But he remembered me when I went back it the next time, and he totally lit up when I came back. A couple visits like that later and I am thinking "Oh my god, could it be...? Nah..." But after my manager TOTALLY rips the info from me, she convinces me that I should try asking anyways, because he seems like he wouldn't care if he was straight, and if he isn't then who knows? So on Valentines Day I drive up...and he is working alone and totally swamped.Alas, not a good time. So a couple nights later, as per usual, I take some leftover garlic twists home from work and stop by to give them to whoever is working and there he is, closing up shop. So I give him the food and then ask if he would like to hang out and exchange numbers. He says yes and I am elated!

But a couple weeks of hit or miss planning and not much reciprocation from him and I buckle down. I drive in and he is again, working alone, but this time I am the only customer so i figure I have to just bluntly ask him if he is gay. To which he replies, no.Bummer. Like, big time. But alas, he totally doesn't care and things don't get awkward or anything. so now he is just an acquaintance.

But still, I managed to grow a pair and just do it, so even though it totally bombed, I did kinda good, I guess.

And that is the end of my rant-y monologue. It felt good typing it all out as I haven't really talked about most of this stuff to any of my friends and now I have got you all here.

It feels good to come back.

So here's the thing, sir:

I've missed you. Good to see you back and great to see that your job is more pleasant! I remember when you were cutting logs! Ain't nobody here got a woodcutting level as high as yours now.

In regards to your attempt to start dating; Lots of fish in the sea, one time or another the fish appears. Or sometimes you just look hard for it until you find it!

I hope your new computer doesn't fail you and you manage to stay on the interwebs properly now. If it does fail you, just find a way to hit me up and we'll be fixing that baby up.

It feels good to have you back.

Look at you asking people out! This manager seems like she's really good for you, maybe she can be your life coach too :P

I wouldn't call asking that guy out a total bomb. It could have gone much worse than it did, you came out pretty alright!
