So I'm graduating High School in a week and I'm scared out of my mind. It's not that I don't have plans or that I'm not excited to pretty much start my life, but I'm just afraid of having to acknowledge the fact that pretty much everything I've known for the past 12 years is coming to an end. It also doesn't help that I've been homeschooled for the past two years and I'm just completely intimidated by the thought of being in a classroom again. I'm just wondering how everyone else dealt with this. I've been told by several people that the Senioy year of High School was like a turning point for them, but I skipped a grade and was homeschooled so now I'm freaked out that I'll always be afraid. I'm afraid that I'll never be able to do things for myself. Any help?

My Senior year was actually pretty uneventful; definitely no turning points in my life. I just don't see what all the fuss about graduating is... I did it last week and my whole demeanor on life hasn't changed a bit.

Sure, college is going to be a completely different ballpark than high school ever was, but in the end it's only schooling. I'm sure you, I, and the vast majority of the graduating class of 2009 will do just fine in whatever future we decide to partake. ;D

Just take a deep breath and take the plunge.

Well, I'm becoming nothing but a mere sophomore, but I believe you will do just fine! :D

Eh, honestly, if you end up going into college, not much honestly changes.

If you go out to live on your own, you do have a bit of responsibilities. Yet, you can work with your parents to have them help you as you step your way into the pool of live.

Looks like I'm not the only one who was homeschooled for the last two years of High School. I'm going to be a senior this coming August, and yes, I'm homeschooled as well. Don't think too much of what is ahead really. Focus on what you are doing now and make your way from there. Take it step at a time, and remember those mistakes you once did before. It helps, as it may teach you to choose the right choices this time. Remember, you'll never be alone in the process as you'll have your friends and family behind you. Plus, the future may turn out to be a bright change for your life, and you may never know what is waiting instore for you. So just keep your head up, and don't be afraid to confront what I'd like to say is a new adventure and chapter in your life.
