Let's begin by saying…oh my god. Best convention I've ever been in!

Pictures in spoilers!!

Spoiler:

Day 4 was a little short, because my boyfriend wanted me to meet him at his place afterwards. So I stayed around for my final shift and it was pretty…easy really! Had to do some line control at the Will Call lines, but basically, I had to just answer questions to people who either wanted to buy tickets for the convention, or to get their tickets they had bought online. Did just that for a few hours, and then I finally checked out as a volunteer! They gave me a swag bag that contained many things such as fan art, a commemorative dog tag, and a CP pin. It was a nice way to end a wonderful weekend!

And to top it off, I was invited to a Thank You party in a couple of weeks! I'll get to see some of the volunteers I interacted with during my weekend at the convention, so that's pretty awesome.

To reflect on this weekend, I really enjoyed it. It was the first con that I was able to stick around for four days straight. Longest, yet enjoyable. But I felt that it went by very quick. I only went to San Diego Comic Con for one day, as well as Anime Matsuri for one day. But it was nothing compared to what I experienced at Comicpalooza. But my experience was a little different because I was a Volunteer and I worked behind the scenes while enjoying the con as an attendee at the same time. It was definitely worth being a Volunteer at Comicpalooza, my friends were absolutely right.

First two days were spent with my boyfriend. He dressed up as Ezio Auditore from the Assassin's Creed series. I didn't cosplay this year, but if I did, I would have dressed up as Lian Xing from Syphon Filter or Amethyst from Steven Universe, but I didn't have the hair. xD Maybe it's something I should keep in mind for next year when I participate! Last two days were mostly spent with a few friends I encountered either from another forum I go to, as well as the Houston Brony Group (since bf was sick and could not make it).

Things I learned? Bring money, cash preferable. I'm glad I took out some cash from the bank before I got to the con. It's fine that most vendors take credit cards, but I didn't want to risk going into one and they're like "lol we no take cards sowwy'. Also, the food will be pricey, so bring a snack and some water. Treat a convention like a carnival or an amusement park, because yes, even a bottled water or a soda will cost you lots ($3.00 for a bottle omfg). Pre-pay for your parking if you can. I paid $21 for all four days, the only disadvantage was that I had to walk 3-4 blocks to get to the convention, and it was pretty long. However, worth it because I saved myself $40 if I parked close. Also, pre-order your photo-ops and your autographs early, too. My boyfriend didn't pre-order his Stan Lee, Peter Mayhew, and George Takei autographs, so he had to pay a little extra to get his. One last thing? Get to your panel early! If you want to go to a panel featuring a really huge celebrity, be prepared to wait in line. 1-2+ hour wait for Stan Lee, but I was lucky to be the last ones to get inside the Stan Lee panel before they closed their doors.

I will never forget CP 2015! Is it next year yet?
