A song with a decently lengthed guitar solo! (About time)

...But you have to wait until the end of the song to get it. =p That's okay though as the song is pretty good throughout. It's Hotel California by The Eagles, a cool band with a number of good songs. I hope anyone who clicks this actually knows of this song given it is quite well known in general (youtube's millions of views for each video of this support this too), but if you don't... well, worth checking out then. I'll also shake my head and mutter 'shame' at you if you don't know it!

Alternate Link!

Lyrics:
Spoiler:

The song has a lot of interpretations (guess how many of those are about drugs!?). The band say it's about a life of fame in general as they experienced it, using the allegory of the guy going to the fancy hotel filled with mirrors and Tiffany-twisted people which turned out to be, as they say, A TRAP. So that's an interesting insight into how they felt life for them was like. =p

The guitar solo is pretty cool imo as far as they go. It's a nice way to end the song.

One interesting fact I found was that the orginal working title was 'Mexican Reggae'. Not a bad name if you ask me!

Bonus: Live version with acoustic guitars! Also comes with a longer guitar intro and worth a listen.

Next entry!

Who cares to know, eh Bubbles?

Hurrah, happiness! \o/ It's a favourite of min from many years ago too.
When I try to listen to this band this is the only song I want to hear and I forget the rest.
Aw, the rest is pretty good too! =p But I'll agree that this is probably their best.
Good song, martini! I approve!
So you should!
