This post sums up in one simple sentence, what 4 years of staff saying 'NO' in every way possible couldn't. It's so true that it's literally a law of the internet. :p
I find it infinitely amusing when these clueless newbies bring this suggestion up every time. It just makes me wish that we hadn't lost the old DB...so we could show them the HORROR that the T-Dome actually was. No really, we need a dang time machine. You REALLY DON'T understand the PAIN the T-Dome brought unless you've experienced it for yourself. THE FACEPALMAGE! OH MY GOD THE FACEPALMAGEEE!~! *dies*
BUT HARK! A Voice of Reason speaks!
And FINALLY! Chuck Norris descends from the sky and roundhouse kicks the thread into oblivion! WE'RE SAVED! HOORAY!
But seriously. Not even I, who constantly fights for the underdog, am INSANE enough to ever give support to this idea.
I was there to experience the horror first hand. I wholeheartedly support the staff's feelings on this because the effort it would require to police a new "T-Dome" would be INSANE! They don't have that much free time! And so, it would be impossible to prevent some immature idiot from getting into there and trolling up the place so bad that it catches fire and burns like a hellhole. (Speaking of users flaming users, ect, ect)
