So I've not been around much lately, other than occasionally stalking OCD or posting in the RP forums. It has been a busy... well over a month now, which is scary but hey ho.

I know the majority of people don't know much about me, so I thought I'd give some insight in to what I'm currently doing at the moment in life.

Six weeks ago I started a new university course, at <CENSORED CITY NAME>, to become a science teacher. After an intense few weeks at uni, I've now completed my third week in a secondary school - mostly acting as a teaching assistant/observer. This week though I finally manned up enough to orchestrate some lessons myself.

My first lesson was a heart dissection with a small group. It was pretty chilled and fun, the kids were pleasant and the lesson went relatively smoothly. My second lesson, however, was the real test - 30 top set kids ready to learn a new topic.

I was bricking it for the lessons before, psyching myself up to just stand at the front and command an audience - I'm not particularly loud in real life so I was very worried about whispering half the lesson. A few minutes in though and it felt so... normal. I could fire off questions, get them contributing, make them listen to me. Everything suddenly worked and it made that fear disappear. At the end of the lesson I realised how hot and flustered I was, but doing my time at the front of the class I somehow managed to keep my cool.

Next week I'll be teaching a few more, then after half term I'll have 10 classes a week to teach. Doesn't sound like much but it means 2-3 hours a day, and the planning on top of that. It'll be busy.

But yeah, that's my reason for not being around much at the moment. I doubt I'll be posting much more after this, except in my RP and maybe OCD if something interesting pops up. I do miss hanging out on #OCD chat (whether people still use that any more?...) and Minecrafting with Alex and Davie - hopefully I'll have some time to join you guys soon, if you're not too busy with uni as well!

Feel free to VM me still though, I do try to reply :3

Baha I'll try not to scare you. Some of the other people at uni have some great stories from their first week, some of which I can't repeat on here... lmao.

I'm concerned with how much I'd get paid.

Ah right! Teaching salaries in the UK are pretty good, I'm looking at £22k for my first year of teaching :3
