The day started out with sunshine.
Then it turned into rain. Torrential rain. The kind that hits you across the face sideways. The kind that are the size of marbles. The kind that ain't gentle. Visibility, 20 metres.
I changed into my swim trunks and sandals and burst out the door. I was probably completely soaked in less than half a minute. It was amazing just feeling every raindrop burst on my skin, hearing thunder faintly behind the furious pitter-patter.
When the rain finally stopped and the clouds cleared, it revealed a beautiful sunset, one that washed my street with a lovely shade of pink. The sun was hidden behind dark blue clouds, but its refracted red rays still shown through and made everything glow like grapefruit.
