As a change of pace and with a complete lack of guitar solos, this entry here is one a friend of mine requested a good while ago, so true to my word I'm featuring it months later. =p

Sadly, when I went on youtube to find this song there was a lack of any decent quality versions (and any version of all was pretty darn hard to find in the first place)! Egads! This fact simply would not have been appropriate, especially given this video game tune is a pretty catchy one in my mind and worthy of more listens.

So naturally the right thing to do was to upload the song properly ripped and all, and that's what my friend did. =p

It's a very catchy tune, and yet deceptively simple in many sections in its arrangement. It fits the situation it plays in (it's used in battles when one is winning by a large margin), and loops pretty seamlessly too. It doesn't rush its progression either, but luckily doesn't sit too long in any one segment. I imagine if a player got to this point in a battle, they'd be intent on maintaining that lead!

As I alluded to in the previous entry, I might try something different with this now. If you want to see me come up with a few songs that fit a particular theme of your choosing, suggest away! Themes can be anything, from a music genre to a colour theme or a day theme or songs featuring an instrument or songs involving the word apple or whatever. It might make for a fun challenge on my part. And of course I'll also consider specific song requests too.

If there's no themes, I'll just post whatever comes to my mind. =)

Next entry!

I'll be honest, it's a little to rock techno and repetitive for my tastes, but it's a nice song from the core, regardless. It'd probably be nice background music when it's being played in context, though! :p Anyway, think you could try out songs from video games featuring mainly if not complete string ensembles? I love strings/winds and would love for some to be highlighted.

Each to their own with the style! And it is a good song moreso for its context, I'd wager. It seems like it'd do well when you're trying to come up with another move or whatnot, but without much tension given it plays when you're winning by a good amount.

I can certainly give that a go! VG music featuring string instruments, should be interesting. =)
