Greetings from Lumiose City in Kalos!~
is...that a diggersby?
I'm having such a blast in the Kalos region right now. Everything is just absolutely woooondeful. I'm also satisfied although pretty hesitant at my current team though. I actually want to use more than six Pokemon, because really...the species here in this lovely region are to catch for.
To start, I've chosen my starter Fennekin. It was hard to decide whether I want to use either Fennekin or Froakie because their evos are really awesome. I'll try out Fennekin first and maybe when I get Y soon I'll use Froakie. I named my Fennekin after my friend and pair John.
Having a fire-type was easy peasy because I had the biggest advantage against Viola, the Santalune City leader, but I had zero advantage against Grant, the Cyllage City leader. Speaking of which, during the long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long stretch between the first and 2nd gym, I was able to complete my party, even though I...kinda cheated a little. I brought in a female Chikorita I bred in my White copy so I can use it in my Kalos team. Kalos doesn't have any good grass-types I like...aside from Chespin/Quilladin/Chesnaught. The Bulbasaur I was given by Sycamore would also be useful too...Mega Venusaur with Thick Fat = KABOOM.
Back to team completion, I caught a Honedge, Espurr, Flabebe, and revived a Sail Fossil to obtain an Amaura. I was very limited in HM slaves, so in the meantime I caught a Hawlucha, which became a huge help in battling against Korrina, the Shalour City gym. She even gifted me one of her Lucarios, holding a Lucarionite. And I was also gifted a Lapras from a random Pokemon breeder. I don't know why. He was like HERE YOU CAN HAVE IT.
I am now in Lumiose City. I just got back from Cyllage City for some clothing shopping. I was apparently kicked out of the Lumiose Boutique because I "don't have a sense of style". I IN FACT DO HAVE A SENSE OF STYLE. YOU JUST DON'T SEE IT.
But I am alright with what I have now. No worries. :) I just need another hair cut because it is getting longer by the minute.
I'll face Clemont later. There's a lot to see in Lumiose! Au revoir for now~
