This happened to my uncle's friend.

He was in Sydney one afternoon and he needed to hail a bus. As you do, he stuck his arm out to get one's attention. A bus approached. The bus kept going, hit and badly broke his arm.

The end.

Wow, that's awful. Did anyone get the number plate of the bus to contact the company about the driver? I mean, the friend was almost definitely either at the wrong bus stop or the bus was full, but that's really no excuse for... idek the word for it. It's just bad.

...not that it wouldn't happen over here though. Ruthless, those bus drivers.

Uh... droomph, have you ever hailed a bus? Sticking out your arm is exactly what you're meant to do. |:

And things like this are why buses will only stop in marked bus stop areas where I live. No sign, no stop! Hailing is considered too unsafe for that to be practiced here today.

Ohhh ouch, that must of been really painful. :(

Perhaps you could lodge a complaint to the bus company and if it's extreme, sue? :3.
