Hikari's Black 2 & White 2 Adventure

Black 2 Part 7: A new Champion is born.

OK, yesterday marked my epic conclusion to the main story of Black 2, taking on the Elite Four after doing some long level-grinding against the Audino lurking on Victory Road. I needed to get a decent level advantage since my team had some glaring weaknesses (including Ground, which is one of the worst since some of the Pokemon I was up against were using Earthquake). So, the Elite Four and Champion were standing in the way of my journey to become the Unova Champion.

First up, I took on Caitlin and managed to sweep her team with Chandelure's Shadow Ball. Excadrill took out Gothitelle just in case if she tried to be a Calm Mind spammer. To be honest, I actually beat Caitlin's team in just 4 turns, one-hit KO'ing each of her Pokemon. But then again I did have a massive type advantage to Psychic on my team.

Next up, Shauntal. She was a little harder but I was still able to defeat her without much problems. Her Chandelure worried me at first thanks to its massive type coverage, but ended up knocking it out in just one Shadow Ball from my own Chandelure. Roserade and Lucario played a part as well, both also succeeding.

Third was Marshal. I was fearing my team would be a bad matchup against his due to all those Rock-type attacks his Fighting-types carry. Sigilyph was my main in this fight, while I had Roserade defeat Sawk and left the rest to Sigilyph. Throh was a bit tough to take out but ended up defeating both Mienshao and Conkeldurr in a single hit.

Last was Grimsley, I wanted Lucario to do most of this fight but his Scrafty sorta made me confused on who to use against it, thankfully I managed to defeat most of his team in one hit. Lucario and Samurott probably ended up doing the most work, with Excadrill backing up.

Then, I went up that massive staircase to the temple where the Champion was waiting, she turned out to be Iris, that girl with the big purple hair. I managed to end up taking out most of her team in one or two hits (I one-hit KO'd Aggron and Archeops using Lucario's Aura Sphere and Excadrill's Rock Slide respectively). Haxorus worried me the most due to that Focus Sash it is holding, meaning I wouldn't be able to defeat it in one hit. I opened up with Lucario's Ice Punch but then Haxorus pulled off a Dragon Dance and that got me worried, then hit me with Earthquake. I was worried Lucario would go down in one hit but oh god I hung on to some of my HP and then retaliated with Dragon Pulse and defeated Haxorus.

Chandelure and Sigilyph unfortunately didn't fight against Iris but they still did a good job against the Elite Four anyway. And after the fight, Iris registered me in the Hall of Fame and I was crowned the new Unova League Champion, went back home to Aspertia City and started to travel the other side of Unova. That will be covered in the next entry.

So yeah, see ya'll next time!
