You ever feel like... no matter what you do, you're going to fail?

- Shane, Stardew Valley

I've deleted literally all of my blog posts! What a relief.

Hello! I'm Anna! Other names include Aquacorde, Aurea, EternallyAnna, Anna Skye, and I guess Savannah. I love PokéAni and Ace Attorney in all forms and I read fanfiction because it's a joyous gift! I think out loud and overshare and type the way I speak- in trains of thought that tend to end up being irrelevant.

I have fairly debilitating anxiety, which is a problem. I've been on mood stabilizers for like two years? They help; I don't cry all the time or lash out so much or have really severe mood swings when I'm on them. But I also have zero motivation or creativity or interest in really doing anything. I don't know what to do about that. What's the point of living if it's not enjoyable?

I do art sometimes but I'm not any good at it. I got a Surface Pro 4 so I could use it for digital art but you know. Not any good and also completely technologically illiterate. So that was an a+ decision. Especially when, as stated, I have to be on mood stabilizers to function with regular people but have to give up things like passion and drive.

I dunno. I don't know what to do with myself at all ever. So there's that.

Just do what you like doing and stop caring if you're "any good at it" or not.

It's like stopping people from having a good time and singing karaoke just because they're not the next Mariah Carey. Like.. really? Don't let yourself stop yourself from just enjoying the little things in life. You find technology hard? Practice and find happiness in learning something new at least.

Just my two cents.

The problem is more that I'm not good at anything, have no interest in anything, and have debilitating perfectionism/anxiety and therefore have a really hard time learning or developing skills.

That's the biggest excuse I've ever heard. Yeah I know that's harsh but nothing will change if you don't change anything.
You don't have to be good at anything to enjoy it. You need to learn to let go of being perfect and appreciate beauty in the imperfect.

What do you want me to tell you? Ok give up at everything, live on welfare, don't do anything with your life, and die with lots of regrets.

Newsflash: it's hard for pretty much everyone to learn and develop skills- they just keep their struggles to themselves. And what's the point in comparing yourself anyway? You're not them. Find your own way and create your own journey.

"Wired wrong"

Give yourself more credit is my message here. A lot of people are born with disabilities which make it harder for them to function. It is about YOUR action and YOUR mindset that will help it.

But if you CHOOSE to wallow in the belief that you'll never amount to anything because everything you try to do is "too hard" then that will be your reality.

No one else can change that. All I'm trying to tell you is that you have more power than you think. But of course, you don't have to believe me.

It's a shame because it seems like you post here to try to reach out to people, only to completely ignore what they tell you and find excuses to continue living in your own unhappiness.. you are wallowing in your own self pity which you believe is your own "reality." Take it slow and change that reality by challenging yourself one with thing at a time. Like actually writing down 3 things every day that you're grateful for and 1 of those things has to be something within yourself. It's difficult when you have low self esteem but if you stick with it for 2-3 months you will actually see a change. Usually people quit after a few weeks or a month. Change takes time.

I am sorry that you don't believe in yourself.
