I'm still trying to figure out what to spend my $50 GameStop gift card I got for Christmas. I've been meaning to expand my game library a bit, especially for the 3DS and the Xbox 360. Since I already have BOTH versions of ORAS, SSB for 3DS, and Pokemon X, I ended up being in a state of indecisiveness. :|

I've been meaning to buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but I know little about the franchise in general. I mean, it's worth a try, right? I heard Fire Emblem is also pretty good, and I'm also hearing Rune Factory 4 is a wonderful game. I could even jump into Legend of Zelda, but GameStop wants $45 for Ocarina of Time. (is that even a real price?!)

Anyone have other recommendations, or have reasons why I should buy the aforementioned game(s)? Thanks in advance, mis amores <3

Eeeeeeee New Leaf is such a wonderful game! It was my first Animal Crossing game too, and I promise is completely worthwhile if you're looking for something light, easy, and fun to play. OOT is a great addition to any 3DS collection too, but if you want to branch out into a new title, A Link Between Worlds will definitely do right by you!

Two other great games that you might want to look into for the 3DS are Bravely Default and Kid Icarus Uprising. Both are really great games. :)

Have to agree about AC:NL. I knew nothing about the series when I first got it, and was even a bit skeptical since it's not normally my type of game, but I've really enjoyed it, and still play it almost every day just to check things out. There's just something charming living in a bright and colorful world with talking animals, haha.
