Laptop screens?

One thing I learned today is that even though the screens might be pre-calibrated, it's a good idea to recalibrate the monitor anyway.

Why?

Well... at least gamma isn't wonky and it's no longer baked warm. I think I'm now enjoying my display, even in OS X.

My computer is brokened D:

When I turn it on it displays six smaller screens, all showing the same thing and all it can do is either fail at loading or try to fix the problem (which I've done multiple times). I've also tried restoring my system and deleting the files which I think were the cause of the problem, but to no avail. I've googled for help, but it appears that no-one has had this problem before.

Does anyone know what is wrong and can suggest something that might work?

BTW, it's hard to...
