Sounding Off

This is just a personal blog where I occasionally review stuff, since apparently I like writing. Don't expect my reviews to be amazing, but personally, I feel they're pretty good! The rating system is different between mediums. Video games I give a letter grade, Movies and TV shows I give star grades. Note that a fraction after a number of stars means that many stars plus that fraction of another star. I.e. *** 3/4 would be three full stars and three quarters of another star. Hope you guys like the stuff!

Any of you guys who are applying to college or have applied to college via Common App know exactly what I'm getting at.


For those who somewhat know me, you'll remember that I took a leave of absence about two months ago. The purpose of that leave of absence was mainly to complete my college application(s). And I'm happy to say that I've finally, finally finished my supplements. For the most part anyways. I have everything filled out, I just need to look through everything again...

You know when you fall on your butt and you get that feeling?

That feeling that you cracked your neck? Yeah, well, I went ice skating today and had loads of fun watching my friends fall, while I was zipping around. Then karma caught up with me. It was a crowded rink and I was going kinda fast and tried to zip through a gap. However, this little kid got in the way, and I couldn't break. So what do I do? Fall on my butt.

Yeah, not a good feeling. Shockwaves up my spine and into my neck. And I've had a pin-like feeling since. =/ But yeah, skating...

Gliding on thin ice

Well, not really. More like thick ice. My friends and I are planning to go ice skating on Sunday, and I can't wait. What I can't understand though is why the prices vary so much. Maybe it has to do with the fact I'm going to rinks in the middle of NYC. But a ticket of admission at Central Park costs a whopping $11. Rentals are another $8 I think. And there's a spectator fee. I don't even know what that is, you can't actually charge a person to watch, can you? Anyhow, needless to say I'm not going...

So PC is the new Facebook?

I just came back from a leave of absence yesterday, so don't hate me for criticizing this now. But I just realized that PC implemented a new "like" mechanism. Honestly, I don't know what I think about that. Personally, I feel like using a like system for posts in the forum is the wrong way to use them. Not saying that it's a bad way, but I feel there's another proper way they can be used. That's irrelevant, though.
