Scary Stuff

So I just learned that there was a murder/suicide in my town over the weekend and that I wasn't that far away when it happened. Somehow I didn't hear the sound of the gun (or I was too far away or maybe I don't know what they really sound like) or catch sight of any police cars or anything. I feel sad about what happened of course, but also kind light and energized. Is that a bit weird?

This here is another kanji lesson. Sort of. It's more of a vocabulary/kanji lesson so you can learn to recognize a few helpful words. When necessary I'll include some other bits of grammar.

Let me first reacquaint you with some friends from previous posts. This time I'm also including some vocab that

Adventures in Pop Music

So I was ruminating earlier this week about how I keep listening to the same music, how I rarely moving outside my comfort zone, and how I dismiss a lot of pop culture without really giving it a change. First up was Adele with Rolling in the Deep.

Wow, I thought....
