TwigZone's moved to a better place, and so does this blog.

The blog's going to be left as is, as an archive, but no more.

*writes server-side scripts in ASP.NET Web Pages 2.0 instead of PHP*

Posted May 3rd, 2012 at 07:28 AM by Twiggy (Diaries of a Quadruped)

There was a time where I had a WAMP box running on my desktop. I fooled around with PHP back then. So many syntax errors and parser warnings!

Now I'm running WebMatrix.

For some reason it's way easier to use Razor... maybe because the syntax is simpler or something, and I don't have to remember much. Or maybe because the WebMatrix home page has a readable tutorial?

Opera 12 beta?

Posted April 29th, 2012 at 04:26 AM by Twiggy (Diaries of a Quadruped)

Go get it now and enjoy!

Opera web browser | Opera Next

*posted from Opera 12 beta*

I feel really at home with this browser, come to think about it. ;P I think it must be the way fonts are rendered, more in line with Internet Explorer 9 than GDI-based stuff, after I enable hardware acceleration. Maybe it's also because it's the browser of choice when it comes to phone browsers.

Anyway, I think I'm liking what I'm seeing.

Do you bother reading the EULAs of software?

Posted April 29th, 2012 at 03:43 AM by Twiggy (Diaries of a Quadruped)

You know, software licences. So much legalese, and yet, sometimes you do have to read it just in case it does something that you wouldn't want it to. Do you read the software licences of software in full? Or do you skim it? Do you just click I Agree without looking? Or do you copy and paste the entire thing into an EULA checker?

I skim through stuff, but I do still give it a bit of a read as long as I have a good idea of what I'm doing.
