Who wants to know what was on my exam?

Posted May 18th, 2011 at 5:31 AM by Mr Cat Dog (ZOMG! A wild Blog appeared!)

Had an exam this morning, and will have another one tomorrow... so I'm off PC for the time being. In the mean time, here's my History exam so that you can feel smarter than me by answering these better. Yay!

'The contingency of personalities, feelings and cultural assumptions can propel massive events with dangerous (or positive) momentum.' (Frank Costigliola) Discuss this view with regard to the origins of the Cold War.

Beta team, go!

Posted May 13th, 2011 at 2:42 PM by Mr Cat Dog (ZOMG! A wild Blog appeared!)

So, I've beaten Alder three times now (as well as Cynthia two times) and I want a bit of a new thing, so I've decided to raise a completely new team to take on the E4 (and Cynthia). The only rules are: the critters can't be ones I've used before, must be Unova-native and can't have the same type more than once.

So far, I have these five planned:
  • Whimsicott
  • Jellicent
  • Beheeyem
  • Hydreigon
  • Volcarona
And... I need one more. My old team consisted of Aerodactyl, Kingdra, Lucario,...

Posted May 11th, 2011 at 3:00 PM by Mr Cat Dog (ZOMG! A wild Blog appeared!)

"And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I completed the PC 30 Day Song Challenge"
(Frank Sinatra, 'My Way')

Yes, folks, it's the end of an era. Precisely 24 hours after the posting of this blog entry, I'll be closing up shop on the 30 Day Song

Due to upcoming exams, my revision schedule hotting up, and the fact that this takes about two hours to write every Sunday, this blog column thing is going on hiatus until the beginning of June. I apologise to the two people who read this. Below are the Twitter reviews I made during the week, but just by themselves.

In the mean time, as the US TV season comes to an end, I've been thinking about getting into some shows that I missed when they started and never bothered to catch up on....

Thor or Fast & Furious 5 - YOU DECIDE!

Posted May 3rd, 2011 at 9:24 AM by Mr Cat Dog (ZOMG! A wild Blog appeared!)

I have a desire to see SOMETHING at the cinema tonight, but am torn between the two options mentioned above.

I've wanted to see Thor for a while now, but obviously not enough to go out in the two weeks it's been out in the UK. It's also got a vibe of 'good but not great' all around it.

FF5, on the other hand, I had no intention of ever seeing until I read the amazing reviews it's received. I've seen bits of all of the other four, and they've just been OK, but maybe this...
