X/Y Info dump Thoughts and Opinions (WARNING: To Catch A Predator Content)

So, apparently there was a lot of info-dump for X/Y recently. I want to take this time to go over each of them and my thoughts on them, but to summarize, none really got me excited me about the games, some of them disappointed me, and one really creeped me out. And the major burning questions that remain unanswered.

*"Fairy"-type. Really? That's the best name they could come up with? I mean, come on, if you're going to create a new type, give it a cool name, like the Magnesium...

Well, I moved into my new place in North Carolina the day before yesterday, and finally got internet installed yesterday afternoon. Not that it means I'll be on here any more often than before (except to monitor PM's and such) because of the whole "bored with Pokemon" thing that I'm hoping X/Y might alleviate (but I'm not holding my breath).

Anyways, my big complaint: Roach infestation (at least I hope these things are roaches and aren't something more serious, like bedbugs)....

30 Days: Final Reflections

I began this "30 Days" series, in part, to attempt to rekindle my interest in Pokemon, and this site. Looking back, it's hard to say how successful it ended up being. Right now, I'm about 90% sure I'll be playing the 6th gen games, which I'll be talking more about later. Still, I don't think I'll ever have the level of interest in Pokemon that I had during the FR/LG/D/P/Pt/Colo/XD days. The series has been stagnating for a while, only picking up...

Day 30: Most nostalgic element of Pokemon

I guess the idea of traveling the world and aiming for the top with a highly customizable team of battlers. Later this morphed into traveling the world as a cute girl and aiming for the top with a highly customizable team of battlers.

This factor is pretty much the only thing keeping me playing the games.

Tomorrow's blog entry will be a final reflection on the "30 Day" project, an update on my stance...

Day 29: Favorite Pokemon tune or song

Miror B.'s Battle Themes (both of them) (tie).

Perhaps it's only fitting that the most awesome antagonist in the series has the most awesome battle themes. The only hard part is deciding between the high-energy, infectious beat of his Latin-inspired Colosseum theme or the smooth, groovy sound of his disco-themed XD tune. So I hereby declare a tie between the two.
