Playground Battling Club Launches

Just over a year ago, I posted this to my blog about alternatives to the Competitive Battling standard that's dominating online Pokémon battling, which I dubbed 'Playground Battling'.

For those of you who can't be bothered to read it (you lazies ), Playground Battling is essentially designed to be more like in-game battles, focussed on having fun battling with friends and your favourite Pokémon rather than focussing on statstics, breeding and strategies. A Window into the Past

I know this has been done before, but I went a little further.



Circa 2002. Really circa 2002, with a system to match (yes, nerds, Classic was still used). Back when Ruby and Sapphire were merely rumours, back when GameBoy Advance was the cutting edge of handheld gaming, back when 251 was enough .
