2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!

Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.

The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

Update on my Dad

Well, I should give a new update on how my Dad's doing these days.

In a nutshell, he's back to what he was before they discovered his leukemia. He's nearly back to full strength and doesn't need me to do certain things for him. The good news is that he's driving again. He "passed" a driving test when he drove with me and my Mom to an appointment with his cancer doctor, seeing if he can drive without problems.

Right now, they are going to do monthly chemo...

REALLY considering getting a Wii

This has popped into my mind recently. I really give credit to Nintendo for going all out and making the Wii. With you actually making the moves instead of using your thumbs on a joystick, it gave you a new play to play games. And add the fact that the Virtual Console can let you download classic Nintendo games and some you've never played before, it's a major winner.

While the system does have crappy games, there are a bunch of them that I really want to play. Mostly Mario Kart Wii,...

Usual Life Update

Posted June 6th, 2009 at 08:32 PM by Mario The World Champion (The Final Countdown!)

Well, everythiung for me is now back to normal. Mostly.

I have good news for once. My Dad has been released from the hospital. It seems like the leukemia he has has most likely gone way. They did a bone marrow biopsy on him this past Thursday. If he still has some leukemia in him, they can do a different type of treatment at home for him. He's glad to be out of the hospital and back home., having real food instead of the crap served at the hospital. The only problem he has...

Anime Boston, here I come!

Posted May 21st, 2009 at 04:52 PM by Mario The World Champion (The Final Countdown!)

Well, tomorrow is it. With my Dad in good hands at the hospital, I'm fully ready for my trip to Anime Boston. I really need to get away and relax after the year I've been having. I'm loaded with cash, I got my PSP and DS lite charged, I got my digital camera raring to go...

Look out, Anime Boston... here I come AGAIN!

Another update on my Dad

If there's one thing a person can be in when they got a major illness, it's to stay positive. That's the kind of attitude and mindset my Dad is in right now.

He finished up with the chemo treatment this week and now the doctors will wait one more week to see if the chemo did anything to the leukemia. More or less, my Dad just wants to get out of that hospital, despite the fact that he's got leukemia.

More or less, my Dad's not going to go down without a fight. ...
