    I've been very well. c:

I'm honestly pretty sure the Black and White manga haven't reached a point in which any of the Elite Four have even appeared let alone revealed anything about their personality. x3

Heck, the Platinum arc is still a baby and I don't think the DP arc is complete, could be wrong on that last one though.

Pardon the late reply! How presumptuous of me to assume that all of the Gym Leaders are evil! >_< Silly, silly me! Do you know how the Elite Four in the Unova generation is being depicted yet? I could see Grimsley as 'evil' (or a little 'bad,' I suppose), but Shauntal and Marshall don't seem like those kinds of people.

    How have you been?

Only half the gym leaders are evil. o.o

The Elite Four is completely evil, but half the gym leaders aren't. Like, Brock, Misty, Blaine, and Erika are the good Gym Leaders. The rest are antagonists in some way.

Also, I haven't been on the trip yet.

If you went on the trip yet, how was it?

No worries. Haha, you would have to copy and paste thank-you messages that still manage to be personable, haha. I kid. It's not like Facebook, where you can say "thanks everyone so much for the well-wishes" and such.

That's true- some would be evil, but I still think some should have a keen sense of justice. I think it would be interesting if the main character got her/himself embroiled in some good vs. bad thing. Well, it's more interesting in my head than on a PM.

Thanks! ^.^ Wow. I've never had so many visitor messages at one login! |D

Also, I guess some of the gym leaders are evil because it adds a bit of realism in the sense that corruption happens. ; The Elite Four as basically the main antagonists. They play a huge part of the plot and all that.

Damn you~ I want to go to the three places you have just listed- especially Italy, because of its food and history! =D

It certainly sounds more mature, but I really don't see the point in making the Gym Leaders and Elite Four evil. It just seems like an overused cliche. However, the Pokemon attacking humans thing certainly has a realistic flair to it.

I see... it does make sense to use the protagonists we select in the game, though I would be interested in seeing short manga arcs about each Gym Leader or Elite Four- especially with Black and White.

Thank you for explaining it all to me- it was very interesting. I think I'll take it from the top, despite my temptation to start from Black and White to see my current favourite characters, haha.

Do you play the games as well? If so, do you have a favourite?

Let's see... I know I'm visiting London. I think I'm visiting somewhere in France and Italy. I know there's a fourth place but I can't remember!

The manga is more "mature". The biggest maturity difference between the anime and manga, and even the games and manga, is that half the gym leaders are evil, all the elite four are evil, and they are pretty much out to /kill/ the protagonists. So yeah, killing, it's the major maturity difference, pokemon attack humans and all that jazz. Gym badges possess special powers... (Or at least, this is how the earlier arcs of the manga go.)

Basically? Y'know all the characters you can pick from in the games? They're /all/ in the manga as the protagonists. Except Yellow. Yellow is the Pokemon Aventures manga's own creation who has never been seen outside the manga despite being pretty darn popular. She's also one of the few with her own story arc. Oh, and y'know how Crystal version has Crystal and Heart Gold / Soul Silver has Lyra? Technically they're the same in the manga. Crystal just... starts dressing in Lyra's outfit in one of the later arcs. (I think the HG/SS arc)

    (The arcs are as followed.)
    Red Blue and Green arc
    Yellow arc
    Gold Silver and Crystal arc
    Ruby and Sapphire arc
FireRed and LeafGreen arc (Takes place in sevii island and stars same characters from RGB arc, only older)
Emerald arc (Focuses on the Battle Frontier)
    Diamond and Pearl arc
Platinum arc (Platinum is actually the name of the female D/P hero, Diamond of the male, and Pearl of the rival. This focuses on the Battle Frontier and Distortion World)
HeartGold and SoulSilver arc (Stars the GSC heroes in a brand new plot.)
Black and White arc (Stars Black, the male b/w hero, Cheren, and Bianca, and slightly later down the road, White, the female b/w hero.)

I've actually never seen N in the manga, but that being said any manga starting with platinum isn't even finished yet. HG/SS and B/W arc are ESPECIALLY new.

Oh, and there are also a few hidden adult jokes in the manga, the kind that would probably fly over younger kid's heads.

But yeah! I highly recommend the Adventures manga. For right now, I'll recommend any arc up to the G/S/C arc. I hear the R/S arc is good too, but RGB, Yellow, and GSC are supposed to be commonly accepted as the best.

OMG I'm so jealous! Where abouts in Europe are you going to? I'm sure it will be fine, as long as you don't get involved with any country's organised crime groups.

I heard that the manga deals with maturer themes, but I still didn't 100% get into it. Is it worth a shot?

    Geez. >w< I'm going on vacation to Europe this winter and I'm slightly terrified that I'm going to do something and get hurt. That or run away from anything that moves in my general direction. >w>;

I watched quite a few of the older episodes, but I don't really watch it often anymore. I'm a bigger fan of the games and manga.

Yeah, it's a pretty bad idea. Even the rangers and zoo keepers get hurt from time to times. Especially the Red Kangaroos- they stand on the tails so that they can kick potential rivals easier. Now that's nice! XS

Do you watch the Pokemon anime?

Ah. x3 I've never been to Australia. I've just heard it was a really bad idea to approach Kangaroos due to them being pretty aggressive and was surprised because I'd always believed them docile. Hence, I proceeded to eternally make fun of myself regarding it.

    I get on... whenever. |D

I was surprised to find that quite a few foreigners being afraid of Kangaroos. I guess they're not exactly pacifistic in nature- they can get pretty aggressive. Did you get close to it, or didn't they let you? They used to let you hold Koalas, but not anymore.

I see... I pretty much log on for a bit every night. I usually hang out in the anime section, "other" section, occasionally video games and culture stuff.

I-I was totally joking. I began being terrified of kangaroos long before I got a chance to see one. It's one of my favorite jokes to imply that I would be the dumb tourist getting kicked by one though.

    I usually hang out in OC/OVP/CT/VG |D
I'm not awesomely active these days though =<
