    haha, well im hoping to have this dratini a dragonite by the end of the week. i got him this morning at lv 1 and i have it at lv 11 right now. put an exp share on it.

    DD sets in-game will work like a charm. The NPCs are too stupid to do anything to counter it XD

    thats most deff true, im working on the move set though that you told me to try out for the dragonite, on this dratini hoping itll work out.

    haha yea i know, but its luck of the trade really, ive gotten all these dragonites(i collect dragonites) and this dratini from trading.

    haha i suck at this nature stuff i managed to get a quirky shiny dratini today that ima train till dragonite, it has no effect on the stats though right?

    Well it would work....just not as well. See, regardless of what EVs you give it, the nature will always raise or reduce whatever stat it's going to reduce:

    so even if i gave him a power item to hold that increased his attack it wouldnt work out?

    Not trying to burst your bubble either but bold isn't a good nature for Dragonite either =(

    If you haven't already, I'd recommend first checking what kind of nature your pokemon has before you start training it. Just google "Pokemon natures" and you should find out what all of them do. For instance, Bold lowers attack and raises defense. Since Dragonite is a more offensively-minded pokemon, he wants something that raises his attack and lowers a stat he's not using, like special attack (Aka Adamant Nature). There's many more options than this, like mixed sets and such. Check out www.smogon.com and you'll get tons of ideas for effective movesets =P
