I know that when some users have seen my 3,000+ post count, they think I should be a future staff member cos I have achieved role model status to new members.
I still manage to wake up early for studies/work, unless if it's a weekend.
But yeah, I was a total noob when I first joined. Some of my friends are inactive but I still see them.
As for what keeps me motivated, the friendly community and all the great stuff to talk about. I also heavily involve myself in celebration threads whether it be a member's birthday, anniversary or staff promotion.
The mods really helped me, now I can answer questions that the next generation of PC noobs need help with. I involve myself in a few Quick Question threads in BW, B2W2, 4th Gen and even the New Users Hangout in NU/W.
Some members are even hoping for me as a future mod given my heavy presence. Ninjagon (who joined this year) even brought it up in a VM he sent me. I'm on a few forums outside of PC (including one where I'm an admin) but they're not as active or fancy as PC. Ever since getting my admin position over on a small Pokemon forum (not the fancy vBulletin kind) I have learned how to act like a staff member.
Toujours even gave me tips on future success, which is kind of her.
Even if studies/work make me fall back on activity, I'm going to post as much as I can. I don't want to be like those members who join just for the Emulation section, I love to branch out into different boards cos I love diversity. I remember that when Jellicent♀ got modded yesterday, he was only active in four boards (one of which is his section - B2/W2) and now he's suddenly gotten popular with his profile being flooded with VMs.
Once I hit the 5,000 post mark I'm gonna get even more cooler with a nice blog that comes with that achievement.
How many users actually compare other member's postcount to staff? :p
You need your sleep to be amazing, you shouldn't do that to yourself! I never saw you as a noob.
Well congratulations, you've become a very decent member. :)
What have you learned? Do you really talk to all 2,300+ of your ~friends? :( Nice to see you are active around. But besides Other Trivia and all of your hardwork, what keeps you motivated to keep doing all of it and why?
Other Trivia, it made me become more active... now some users think my activity and postcount are equal to that of most mods. In fact, I bet most users are supporting me cos I'm acting as a role model to new users (hence my New Users/Welcome activity) and now some users think I have evolved totally.
I even surpassed your modding partner Nica as the most active user here, I even pull all-nighters just to talk with everyone here. I am now no longer the noob you once saw me as, and I even learned how to make my signature look better!
My avatars/signatures evolved with me, they used to be very cluttered and had no influence behind them, then I broke from the tradition of using only Pokemon-based themes and I guess it really helped me in the end. Some say most of my non-Pokemon themes were better than my Pokemon-based themes (with the exception of my Cheren and Oshawott avatars, which they say looked nice).
It was probably around March this year, after celebrating my anniversary that I started undergoing those changes. Now everyone sees me differently to what I was 16 months ago, I guess all the mods really helped me a lot. I'm even reporting adbots now. Just a few days ago, Sydian gave me the Level Up emblem after seeing a post I did in a thread in Other Voting Polls. Also, reading those blogs has also played a part in my development.
Now some people call me the funniest female user on all of PC. I sure have learned everything and I just ticked over 2,300 friends. My high postcount came as a result of all that activity in NU/W, OVP, the Pokemon Gaming boards, Pokemon General/Voting Polls, Pokemon Anime and also Pokemon Clubs to a lesser extent.
I'm gonna open a blog once I hit 5,000 posts or if I'm lucky someone donates for me. Guess I've got to keep my NU/W activity up to add to that postcount.
