May 11th, 2012 04:32 AMRokusasuI'm looking for a summer job too~ But I'm busy 'til June so it sucks. ):
Don't worry, I'm an idiot a lot of the time. 8,D
May 10th, 2012 04:25 PMRaikiriAt least he has a job unlike my bum self. Though I might be getting a decent summer job if all goes well.
Ah! Now it rings a bell. Don't mind me. I can be pretty dumb at times.
May 10th, 2012 02:21 PMRokusasuHe gets a loan too and he also has a job which just about covers his rent each month (and he only works weekends atm).
C'est la vie = that's life. It's a popular idiom of sorts, I am ashamed of you. 8D I used to be able to but when I went skiing last year I totally failed.
May 8th, 2012 03:27 PMRaikiriThat isn't too bad as far as rent. Doesn't your boyfriend get some money? :o
I'm sorry, I don't speak French xD
May 8th, 2012 01:33 PMRokusasu£500 a month (not sure how much that is in $, maybe 600-800?) and I only get £2300 or so every few months. So, I don't splash out on iPads and just buy cheap comics instead.
Bad teeth, I guess stuff about tea... Apparently our cooking is horrible. Every country is going to have stereotypes and jokes made about it, and every country has people who are mean to those in and out of their country. C'est la vie~
May 8th, 2012 07:36 AMRaikiriYay rent! One reason why I am happy that I still live with my parents. Free rent and food :3
The only joke I know of the British is your supposed bad dental health xD. And why are you so mean to your neighbors? D: Though Americans can be really mean too -____-
May 8th, 2012 04:22 AMRokusasuI sometimes take my laptop to class, though it's really heavy so usually I have to bus there and bus back (which isn't as expensive as some places, but it's still £2.70 for a return journey (~$4.50). Some people when getting their loans will think "oh, I'll get a notebook!" and spend £400 or so of their school money, which is okay if they use it for school. Mine goes on paying rent. TT^TT
Everyone has English jokes too. And we're really mean to Scottish people and Welsh people and Irish people... Not many Brits like the French... My boyfriend's Irish so I call him 'leprechaun' and 'potato' all the time (as a joke, of course). 8D
May 7th, 2012 07:42 AMRaikiriI have an iPad but rarely use it. I don't like desktops because I use my laptop everywhere basically. Especially for taking notes in class.
I had a feeling you guys have American jokes. Everyone does D;
May 6th, 2012 03:10 PMRokusasuYeah, I'm sorta the same with my laptop - I'll use it until it starts to die and then buy a new one. I wouldn't want a desktop until I needed one. Don't really see the use for an iPad or any other kind of tablet.
That just reminded me of a time I was in Central (what Londoners call London, I'm learning good) and walking past Buckingam Palace; I said "OH MAH GAH BUCKING-HAM PALACE" in a very bad, valley girl accent ('cause we don't stress the 'ham' at the end, s'more like 'Buckin'em') and I'm pretty sure a guy walking by burst out laughing after he went past. So yes, we think American ways of saying British things are funny. The whole 'tomayto/tomahto' thing never gets old.
May 6th, 2012 02:24 PMRaikiriI have never made the effort to upgrade my Mac. Simply because, I'd rather buy a new one. I am one of those people xD
England is worth visiting at least once. Look at it this way: You could make fun of my American-ness XD. Japan, oh man, I can't wait to go there.
