Back in 2006-07, I drew this fan art of the pre-teen Molly in a summer outfit, completely not knowing at the time that the Pokémon franchise was going to feature a region based on Hawaii. http://imgur.com/a/VhIRk
If I end up getting both versions of Sun and Moon, I might play as the female character in the second game naming her "Molly" (although the outfit shown in the linked picture probably won't be available in-game).
I don't think so at all! These games have so much going for them, I think they're going to be awesome. A lot of the older fans (which make up a huge chunk of the buyers) love how the games are growing in a new direction and the kids will always eat it up anyway because they're kids and it's Pokémon ahah. Speaking of, I should go look at the updates sales for XYORAS...
Yea, I know Klippy's just having fun (kind of reminds me when the staff colors on EGC were changed around at one point). But sometimes, things gotta be changed around (For one, I've got to think of a better layout for my Molly fan site, even though I designed the current incarnation almost from scratch. Gotta be more to it than just adding pictures and tidbits of info, you know.)
I think it's nice that there'll be something different about the Sun/Moon anime, even though everybody's all sore about the upcoming changes, not just about Ash going to school, but also Serena not coming with him to Alola, among other things.
I'm excited cause it seems unique. The art style's a bit more reminiscent of cartoons, and I like that it's a bit more different than just fighting gyms and beating up Team Rocket. will miss Serena but November can't come fast enough!!
I think it's pretty much established at this point that no matter how long it's been in real time since Ash left Pallet Town to start his journey for the very first time, Ash will always be no more than 10. Heck, if Sun/Moon is about him going to school, he might very well be slightly younger.
As someone who regularly posted in the equivalent section on the late EGC, I'd like to thank you (again) for doing the extra work of trying to maintain order in PokéAni over the past several weeks or so.
Like Molly was when Ash tried to take away his mother from her, everybody's needlessly butthurt over Ash losing yet another League championship.
If I ever make an anecdote comparison page for my Molly fan site (which has the above screenshot as well as many others from that movie), I'll compare the Pokémon Anime fandom's reaction to the Kalos League to Molly getting "mama" taken away.
