    Thanks, your a big help. So I can also change the pointer in the routine to store other data that may move around.

    You can't use a script for it - you need to use ASM. I'll PM you the routine you can use...

    oh, so I can't just use a copybyte to store the byte of the map, because the data moves around. mmm... so is there a way with a script, to force the game to follow a pointer then copy the byte?
    or do you have a different method.

    Using the "Search for cheats" thing in VBA and using a script that changes the variable value.
