I have no qualms with collaborations. You know more about the RP section than I do, so I trust your judgement here.

Hey Slayr, I was wondering if joint fics are allowed. By joint fics, I mean me writing a story with somebody else. Or does would that count as a 1x1 RP?

I'm not that great at math. I understand basic algebra pretty well, but once the more advanced stuff comes, I'm completely lost. I thought of testing out, but by the time I realized that the entire class would be review, a week had gone by. If I were to test out, I would either be a week behind in the math class I would be learning new stuff in (which is never a good thing), or I would just not take math this quarter, again. Since math is a use it or lose it skill, I just decided to stick with it. I've made a few friends in that class already, so that helps a lot.

Damn, they make you re-take classes? No wonder they're "infinitely boring". You make me feel lucky for myself - I wouldn't last a day if I were you. I would change college and possibly country. LOL don't get me wrong, it's just that I absolutely detest having a wrongfully implemented education system on me, and I basically described 1/4 of my life.

you're pretty good at math, it seems, AND writing. Nice, that's something I'll never be able to boast of. :P

    Aww shucks! :V

I have to take these math classes. I have to meet the minimum requirements (which I aren't sure what they are at the moment!). I'm currently in math 94, but I should be in math 98. During the placement test I scored a perfect score in the 94 section, but failed the 98 section by half a point. With the way my college does their placement scores, they want to squeeze as much money as possible so they put you in the math class you last passed. So, I'm currently going through a huge review. On the bright side, the math class has now turned into my planning for writing projects time. I just tune out and write in my notebook while the teacher lectures. It's the only way I can get through it. XD

Ah... that is a conviction that will take you far, I think. Your determination to help others is truly admirable. I wish for you the best - may you succeed in teaching people about writing!

Though, I can't help but think, what does math have to do with writing? Isn't there any specific course you're taking?

I like helping people with their writing and none of my teachers did anything except essay writing. So, I would like to teach people how to improve their writing overall and opening doors to creative writing that were never opened to me. I missed out on a lot of help I could have gotten if my LA teachers opened that door and I don't plan on making the same mistake.

A teacher, nice. I get the feeling you'd make for a good teacher. Is there anything in particular you like about it?

I spend around five hours at school too. Well, three of those hours are in classes. I have a two hour break between my Econ class and the Intro to Education class, so that's where I get my math done.

I'm currently exploring around and seeing what interests me, but I'm really looking into becoming a high school LA teacher.

Nothing! I'm taking nothing, I swear... oh. :D I'm taking courses in graphic design. We learn about the printing process, the colors, photoshop, as well as do manual work with paper, scissors, pen, stencil, that kind of stuff. The college's schedule is pretty much similar to a school's, which means I'm spending at least five hours of my day there every week-day; it's still sufficient to teach me all I need to know about graphic design, without having to burden me with homework.

You mentioned 'education class'... what's that? Are you planning to become a teacher?

All of my professors make it a goal to have at least two hours of homework for every hour in class. It can get pretty rough at times, but I'm skating through my math class right now giving minimal effort and getting A's, so I only spend half an hour for math. I really hope some of this stuff pays off in the future. I doubt I'll use the math, but my intro to education class seems pretty informative. What are you taking?

Ah, let's just say that we do every exercise we need to do there, in the college. It also counts for work hours and experience, so, while it might seem like a waste of time to me now, it'll pay off in the future.

I have a couple assignments I have to do this weekend, but they should only take a couple hours at the most, so that's good. I find that I have a lot more free time this quarter, but my classes are going to be infinitely more boring. How do you not have a lot of homework?

I have plenty of free time, always had. College is somewhat tiring on weekdays, but I don't really have to study/do homework, so it's all right. I have weekends all to myself :D

Actually, not that much. FF&W isn't that popular of a section (I'm working on that!), so I often have time to go off and do my own thing. What about you?
