Sorry if I sound serious or angry (I'm slightly the former, but definitely not the latter), and maybe I'm just in a "rebellious phase" or something, but it really grinds my gears when someone tells me "it's not your [insert material object here], it's your parents'." I'm not saying that I don't love my parents - mine are awesome and totally not strict, unlike most other Asian parents. I respect and appreciate everything my parents have done for me, but there's no need to pretend they're perfect people when they're humans like everyone else. Oh, and that kids can own property as well. (b'')b
You know all that debt the government has acquired? Do you know who'll be responsible for paying them? Yeah. But that's okay, because in the future, we will be spending our children's money without them realizing it. It's a pretty good cycle.
