Sure! That'll be great!
This any better though?
Also, could you help me with eyes? I suck at them and end up C+Ping old ones.

Okay. Well, how about I sorta show you how to? If you have a sprite that you are dissatisfied with, you can message me it and I'll sorta try to "correct", for lack of a better word, it by showing you screenshots of before I've tried my hand in it and after, showing the canges I made and writing what you should keep in mind and stuff. Would that work?

I'd love help, I shall take that advice and try to use it the best I can.
But I warn you, when it comes to being given advice, i don't read it well :l

But that sprite isn't bad! It just needs to be worked on a little! The shading is good and the concept is also cool, there just a few hiccups on the way. I'd recommend that since it's the first stage of that one's evolutionary line (I presume so), you should try to make look more roundish. I can see that the head could be a bit rounder on the top. Try to avoid making "corners" when you connect two lines in the sprite. For example, between his legs there are two "corners", you should avoid making these unless you're making spikes or something along those lines. And you should of course have the outlining facing away from the light-source colored black or a deep color. Like on one of his ears, the outlining is light even though that part is shaded and thus it seems.. strange. You want to sorta "frame in" the sprite with the outlines. And don't outmine with a color that's lighter than the color around it. Like the metal-plate on his head is outlined with a lighter color than his fur, which makes it again seem a bit strange.
I'd be happy to help you out with the sprites and stuff, in case you want help that is.

It beats ...
and I've got to evolve this guy ...

I know that feel very well. Sometimes when I look at my Fakémon-sprites I don't really feel satisfied, but I can't work out why. It's very frustrating.

When it comes to pokémon.
I hit rock bottom. I can't seem to get what I want.

I usually try to splice certain parts of trainer sprites, but sometimes it just doesn't seem to want to work.
January 10th, 2013 2:58 PMLord Varion
I understand what you mean.
I can master overworlds. I use to do them alot back in the day.
As for trainers I'm a bit iffy, I tend to copy the stances of existing sprites.

Man that is a nice set of tiles, yo. I like it, it looks like FR/LG but more fresh and new. Kinda like a NeoFR/NeoLG if that makes any sense whatsoever.
Yeah, I can see what you mean when you say that having poor skill isn't good in yoir position. Or amybody's, really. I mean, I'm relatively good at Pokémon-sprites, but I can improve of course. However, trainer sprites for some reason does not work well with me. Overworlds are fine, but not the sprites themselves.
January 10th, 2013 2:39 PMLord VarionSpoiler:
I prefer tiling, for some reason, I try to do a FR/LG style, but end up making my own style, sorta.
I'm bad at sprites, I've good concept, but bad skill.
Which isn't good in my position.

Well, the bad jokes are the good jokes right now, are they not?
And so are yours! I especially like the Grass-Fakemon-thingy (Wow, I sure can express myself vividly!) in your thread. Also, I like your tiles too, they're sweet. Personally I haven't really tried tile-spriting, or, at least not in a Pokémon-ish style.
January 10th, 2013 2:29 PMLord Varion
I see what you did there ... :l
Anywhoooo, You're sprites are indeed awesome!
January 10th, 2013 2:28 PMMr. Mammoth
True. But sometimes it just has to end. Oh well, I guess we'll get there when we get there!
Too bad. Because if it was made in France it would've been a French-ship. OLOLO GET IT? Because I sure don't.

Pokemon has, cards, toys, games, tv shows, anime, manga, plushies, posters, magazines, sticker collections, way too many money makers, just to simply call quits.
And Nah, It's made in england, which is next to France :O
