I don't have a facebook now, never had anyone to contact with it, but I can make one to stay in contact with you. If it's alright, can you pm me the info? I'll contact you on FB once my account's set up.

Gee, I'm glad to see you have such confidence in my survival skills.

I probably won't be back necessarily, but I have come to see if maybe you wanted to exchange Facebooks or something so we could keep in touch. I've just basically lost interest in this particular forum, but I do have a Facebook that I check every day (mostly just to check on my friends and family - phones are soooo overrated. . Or something). If you want to, we can PM each other the info.

So...you actually BACK, or is this just a one time message and I'll never see you again, again?

How long have you been into this series?

It's quirky nature and silly dialogue. I also enjoy the fact that pretty much ANYTHING in that game can be an enemy - from taxi cabs to moles. I also like that the games' characters help even each other out. You can have a PSI user and someone who has a high defense with plenty of helper items.

    That's true, I suppose.

Speaking of which, what about it do you like so much?

So? Not everything has to have a happy ending. Sometimes games just end better with a more "depressing" ending.

You really can't. The Mother series just has a certain personality that other games haven't come close to emulating.

Really? That ending is depressing as hell thougj

Not that that's a bad thing. The trppy-ness is what makes it unique after all. You cAN'T find anyother game quite like it.

It didn't really have any closure. Personally, I prefer the ending you just told me.

XD Lol. Personally, I believe it was aimed more at young teens. Or at least it shoulda been.

    Oh, why not?

Dismembered Beauty, I believe it was called. Perfectly fitting for a game marketed at younger people, hmm?

    XD Lulz.

Well, damn, dude, that would've made a much better ending. =/ I really didn't like the ending to Mother 3. .

Oh, yeah, I knew that. It was confirmed by Itoi himself. It was a murder scene that he saw.

Giygas - Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness!
    Ness - WHAT!!!?
    Giygas - Hi. =3

i don't remember the exact details of the official ending to mother 3, but there was an original concept where Claus' death would make Lucas go insane and suffer a total breakdown, in the form of a series of increasingly-trippy "boss" fights. Eventually the game would end with Lucas paralyzed and unable to pull the last needle. I think it was changed for being too unhappy an ending for a "kid's" game, buit anyways, there are those trippy backgrounds, hacked into the game to replace normal enemies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gNx8oPefQs

Did you hear that Giygas's boss fight dialogue was inspired when the game's creator walked in on a violent rape/muder scene in a Japanese gore film as a kid? I don't know if that's just a rumor, but I've seen that pop up everywhere. And i mean, it would make sense, too. That dialogie gets pretty f*cked up.

No, unfortunately. Do you have links to the unused final backgrounds?

Tanetane was trippy as hell. I felt sorry for Lucas, though. A lot of the monsters and crap on that island seemed to pick on Lucas in particular.
LAWL they thought the nasty garbage was a hotspring. XD
