I wonder if I should watch more of the series. I've never really been into Mech animes except for a few Gundam shows, but in this the Mech are alive. (at least in Da-Garn)
Not really. It's just that it was Spanish with a stupid-ass teacher or Turkish which is infinitely easier than Spanish and really much more interesting. :o I got to go to Turkey for a month for about $300, it was pretty neat!
The only time I've used it outside of going to Turkey and in class was when looking at FailBlog. It had a translation where it said "Our water is very clean! We suggest you do not drink it!", which makes people laugh because it's a translation error. The funny part is I read the Turkish and it's not a translation error, it really said "don't drink" in the original.
And if you didn't guess, my new name is Turkish. Cherry Goddess.
I cannot read Chinese, or any other language but wee amounts of Turkish really. I don't mind watching things without subs, usually it's really not THAT hard to understand what's going on, and animes tend to have their SUPER SPECIAL ITEM/MOVE/PLACE/MECH as an English word. xD;
The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, it's in the same series as this one, The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn.
x) I wouldn't call it "testosterone-filled" as he's really like a delinquent-but-not little boy, but it's defiantly a show for boys and isn't as childish as others.
Hehe, that's the main character's father. The main character who also shares the same VA with Satoshi, thus how I found the anime in the first place. It's old (1992!) but it's pretty good. Even if the only episodes I found have Chinese subs...
I really have to wonder why nothing ever gets finished. No other fan development communities I've ever been part of had that problem. Maybe the general age group is too low, or maybe it's just the nature of internet communication that stops teams from working together well enough. Oh well.
All I know is that I'm too stubborn and prideful to give up. :O
Yeah, it's pretty rare that any of these games actually...finish. That's why I never really said I would be a full-time spriter for any of them. I just throw in a sprite or two with no real hopes that the games will last. (Though, Carbon is still here but two of my sprites I know of are not used anymore, I have no clue about the others, and I'm still credited.
Though one new sprite is the same design as mine.)
I always enjoyed referring to him as HasselHoF in my head, but that's just me.
Separated or not, it seems to me like there just isn't many releases around these parts. Even if you've got your own forums and whatnot, just knowing that someone out there actually completed what they set out to do would boost morale. But yeah, the bigger the project, the longer it takes... =/
Would it be better if I called him Hoffie? (It seems everyone was busy in the summer, but not so much during schoool lol.)
I don't know if it would be a big achievement for PC, seeing as we've sorta separated ourselves from here with the HoF Forums. Though it will be a good game when it gets released as it's really expansive.
Which means it won't be out soon. x|
I keep forgetting there's HoF the game and HoF the person. I swear, I had to reread what you said twice before I got it. >_< But yeah, his determination is pretty impressive. My game almost died out completely just because I kept putting it down whenever I needed to, eventually progress just stopped altogether because I wasn't able to balance it with RL. Strangely, now that summer is over I find I have more time to dedicate to it. Hope to see HoF (the game, not the person!) get released soon, I think that would honestly be one of the biggest achievements for the PC community (that's right, the Pokecommunity community).
When I get busy I feel guilty about not visiting a place as often. I avoid things I'm guilty of. Therefore I'm guilty for not going on...so I avoid it more. It really sucks. xD; I don't mean to not announce I'm "leaving" because I never really meant to leave!
Yeah, drama sucks. I commend HoF for keeping us all together, but if I created a game I wouldn't deal with half the crap that people give him. My games, my rules, I don't need you. It's also because I always see the fan games as side projects where your life comes first. I've told HoF many times no one would feel bad if he put it down and focused on college so he wouldn't get stressed, but he still goes through with it.
