Hey, I had an idea for a sprite game. One person posts the outline of a sprite that they haven't shown to anyone, and whoever wants to can sprite what they think it's supposed to look like. After a set amount of time, the sprite's creator posts the original and all of the submissions, and someone else puts up a new outline.
Well, I've made decent progress on that establishing shot tutorial (it's going to be a monster!), and this morning I somehow got most of the images for the trainer back sprite tutorial done... but I want to do more research for it.
As I said in a VM.. somewhere in there, I think you should go ahead with the request thread.
I was then on your page, typing up a VM apologising for missing the last two VMS you sent when i spied that notification and saw it was you and now I feel even more of a jerk for making it nearly 3 haha.
I was gonna ask for your opinions on that request thread, and if you think it's a good idea, then i'm pretty much good to go, just gonna ask a couple of the other regulars.
You're able to edit posts, right? You might want to put a notice in the original post of psychic-boy's thread... Even though it's closed, he's linked directly to that post as his "proof of work" when applying to teams to work on hacks, and people who click through may not see the rest of the thread.
You really should go ahead with that request thread. Sure, there will be some unreasonable requests that will be ignored, but I'll bet there are quite a few spriters who would accept doing single spites, for either the challenge or quick recognition. It would probably keep rom hackers/game makers from creating their own request threads, too.
