Just a little note, before I reply:
DrFuji warned you about contacting staff members about a thread before 24 hours has passed. It's not a huge deal, but it IS a rule. You submitted the thread at 12:00 PM (my time) and sent that VM at 12:05 PM (again, my time). That isn't 24 hours, that's 5 minutes. Just bear that in mind in future- if someone keeps submitting threads and being impatient, we may well just wait longer due to their rule breaking. That's not something we generally do, but I know I wouldn't hesitate to do it!
And don't take this too harshly, I'm just explaining, is all :)

Secondly.. I can approve your Team thread, but from the information you gave about the hack, it looks like something that would fit in the Sideshow Showcase. That's fine, if it fits there then it can go there, but just bear that in mind when you get around to submitting the thread for it, all right?

I'm sorry, I wouldn't really know how you could go about making a headbutt tree- basically I'd start with a Wild Pokemon script on the block. To make it more like GSC/HGSS headbutt trees, you'd need to make it so that a Pokemon may/may not appear.

And then if you REALLY wanted to do it properly, you'd need to make it so that your headbutt tree tile calls this type of script automatically when the player presses the A button on it.

That patch, I believe, would be a starting point. However, it would be a pretty drastic move, if you JUST want to implement Headbutt trees, as this patch erases an awful lot of things. That's not really ideal for someone learning to hack.

Anyway, long story short, I know (to some extent) what you'd need to do to put a headbutt tree in your hack, but I don't know exactly how you'd go about it. Still, I hope this was helpful!

Well, this is the scripting tutorial I always refer to whenever I'm doing it. I think it's pretty great, and a fair few others seem to as well :P

Hi there! I'm afraid I don't generally help out with ROM Hacking, because a) I'm rather busy in real life and with other commitments, and b) I probably wouldn't be much help anyway, hahaha.

I can help you out with the Emulation forum if you're looking for a bit of guidance on where to start and so on, though! :)
