Took me a while since I'm terrible in all range mode. On another note playing my brother's Pilotwings game has completely screwed my flying up in Starfox. And yeah, I'm getting a new SD, hoping it works, otherwise I guess I can just pop in whatever one has the games I want to play. Also I was thinking the other day how bad I'd like a new game in the shadow pokemon saga for the 3ds. Those games were such an adventure. Hell even a Colosseum port [Colosseum +] or something would be cool.
Laser Spam is godsend against Star Wolf and the best way to get high score on Venom 2. I just somersault, and if they somersault as well (only happens in Venom 2 iirc and not that frequently) I U-Turn and go for someone else instead.
I don't think you need to back up any saves. When I bought a new SD card I just swapped it and all the save data for my digital games were still there. Also 4gb should be plenty for Pokemon X (which isn''t particularly large) and AA5 actually.
Yeah I've been using the charge shots but it looks like Laser spam is better. By the way, what's your strategy when someone is tailing you. Wolf usually rapes me in the Star Wolf fights and I made it to Andross with a sliver of health the first time [then I died and beat him] and it can be annoying in multiplayer. Usually I just spam barrel rolls or U-Turn since flying away hasnt gone too well.
I like most of the levels in the game but I think my favorite is Zoness. Really loved the atmosphere and theme of it. I like Fichina but I prefer the fight in Venom 2 particularly when I found out charge shots dont work.
Aquas isn't terribly hard, the boss definitely isn't, but I just found it annoying for the reasons you stated. Could not wait to finish the level. Funnest level so far that I've played is probably Fichina. Love the dogfight with Star Wolf.
It's more turn based strategy with RPG mixed into it but Awakening is the most RPG focused in the series. Try the demo out. ALBW looks really good so I'll try it myself eventually. I actually think Aquas is the hardest level in the game. Slow submarine + frame rate drops makes crap hard to dodge.
Uh there's Layton and Bravely Default for NA. There's also Mario Golf and Kirby. That's about it until Nintendo announces more later.
Yeah I heard FE: A was the best [along with ALBW I guess but that's not where I want to get into Zelda]. I was considering copping FE though because I'd really only heard good things although RPGs not named Pokemon bore me somewhat. And I'm on the hardest route right now, I died once to Sarumarine and then beat him with a sliver of health, about to go to Area 6 [this isn't on expert though]. BTW, do you have any idea of what big titles are coming in 2k14 besides Phoenix Wright vs Layton and Smash Bros?
The land controls takes a while to get used to (you'd think it's awful at first) but once you get used to it, the controls makes a LOT of sense for the game, and you couldn't be happier...unless you're left handed I guess. If you're left handed you'd have to move with the ABXY buttons which is pretty terrible unless you got a Circle Pad Pro. Give it a try, popular opinion is that it's the best 3DS game and I agree. The other "best 3DS game" is Fire Emblem Awakening which I HATE because it takes away everything I loved about the series and becomes more RPG focused and it also has terrible balance thanks to the marriage system. If you never played Fire Emblem you'd probably love it though, which is why it's popular actually lol.
I actually never tried that, lol. I should! I'm honestly more than content with the single player campaign thanks to all the multiple paths you can take. (Beat the hardest route without dying actually B]) I love arcade experiences, so that's probably why I love the game so much too, because it's pretty much Star Fox 64's only content. Compared to Uprising which has soooo many things to do.
No I'm not, I heard the controls for Uprising were bad though [although I've heard the game itself is good]. What happens if you're left handed? And maybe it's just me, I loved the multiplayer in assault with all the weapons, stages and unlockables. If you could unlock a bunch of stuff [characters, modes, stages] for 64 3D multiplayer then it'd probably be my favorite 3DS title.
Love that game. I gotta try to go for some of the golden medals soon, which will be hard lol.
I don't really mind the lack of multiplayer and the ability to choose characters so much to be honest since the game is sooo fun anyway. Since you're enjoying it you should try out Kid Icarus Uprising. (Are you left handed by the way?)
I don't remember it having rotation battles if you mean Time Travelers but I've only seen the trailer and a few screens. Also I've really been enjoying Star Fox 64 3D but they really could have done more with the multiplayer. Hate that you can't play as the Star Wolf pilots or play on Wifi.
