Get used to the controllers! I actually can't stick with one genre or a game for too long otherwise it gets me hating it. I prefer to shuffle between different types of games. So with a violent game that is about stealth (Metal Gear Solid) comes a game about getting as much scores as I can with microgames in a cartoonish environment. (Warioware) It's what I love about video games. :P
Halo is so easy to pick up and play though haha. My cousin was like you though, he was awful at it and he didn't enjoy it but now he's kicking my ass. (Mostly due to me moving on from the series. Dude is still obsessed.)
Back to Persona. Slowly I'm actually starting to dislike Naoto. I just realized that the only reason I even liked her was because of the fact she's a detective (and me being a sucker for detective stuff had to like her for that), but it doesn't really hide her bland character design and personality. It's kind of the same for Kanji too, except I like his design, and I liked him way better when he was tough (before you rescued him) and not the "looks like a grizzly bear, but actually a teddy bear" character archetype. I actually prefer P3 cast now.
Lucky you that you got so many games to keep things going... Well I do want to play more P3P and all, along with look into getting into tales series for sure. I'm a total sucker for RPG and it's like the only genre that I play lol. I'm totally not dexterous or physically capable to handle anything intense.
I still remember that the time I tried Halo in the past, I'm like "so how do I handle move + aim + camera control all at once I'm confused what's happening AHHHHH!!!" horrible, horrible experience that really shows my spatial retardedness lol
Oh yeah I never died from those in P4. Only time I died in a dungeon was from one of those enemies in Kanji's dungeon that spammed ma- spells and got too many extra turns.
So he's kind of like Izanami in a sense? Or Namatame might be better because Izanami uses almighty moves 95% of the time. Both were easy either way because you get Personae with lots of nulls later one lol. (Actually maybe that's why Izanami didn't use much elemental spells on me lol.)
Pretty sure it was confirmed for development. I bet it's for the Wii U
I got plenty games to keep me busy lol. Crash Bandicoot 2, Rhythm Heaven Fever and Uncharted, and there are also Little King's Story (this one is adorable <3) and Trauma Center: New Blood that I bought last week. I'm also getting Punc-Out!! for the Wii and Playstation All-Stars...and various other games next year. (Metal Gear Rising, Last of Us, Luigi's Mansion 2...) Think I'm good. lol
I'm pretty sure that I had a huge stop in P3 because when enemies start using OHKO spells for instant gameover, I just sort of ragequitted lol... at least they really don't do it as much anymore in P4.
That's still more than enough Nulls to make Beelzebub a super flashy stuff that got very little practical use... people say the final boss of P3 is hard but really it's super easy even compare to the tower bosses before him. For heaven's sake, he only uses -la not -dyne spells @_@;
Looking super forward to Persona 5 if it'll ever come out. That'll totally swing my vote in terms of which next generation console that I'll buy! In the meantime, need to look for other jrpgs to play... hopefully I can get into the Tales series and play catchup on it, but it's always on consoles that I do not own...
Holy crap it is OP lol. Even worse than Yo****sune and Hassou Tobi in P4. (Not as OP as Daisoujou in Nocturne though...I'd go on.)
Think I could give Beelzebub Margidyne? :P He was my main source of fire damage in P4.
Yeah same here. Though I did use a guide to do Fox's ema requests because they're vague as hell. I was actually planning to do Margaret's as well but didn't feel like doing a lot of fusion just for a fight that would end up rather annoying moreso than fun. (Yeah I checked it on youtube.)
Thunder Reign is OP. Even if you don't keep him, I'm sure that you'll only erase him after you get to pass his signature move of P3FES on to another Persona. I beat the Reaper once using "regular" methods without Thunder Reign, and it's like 10x easier with Odin. Thunder Reign can probably singlehandedly beat all but Elizabeth. P3P and P4 patched the abuse though as you no longer need to spend a turn to get up, but FES? Let the endless abuse begin!
Surt really isn't all that bad as I think he does massive damage with fire amp and maragidyne. It's also really easy to pass a few other dynes to him. It's just that his base stats aren't high enough to compare with late game. However, P3 has a tendency that the highest Personas are lacking with fire coverage naturally, so maybe Surt will last with you for a very long time.
I *try* to play a game without any guides so I didn't get any foresight of what's going on. The only guide I read for P3 is those stupid quizzes and midterms inclass >_>; P4 I played it blind, so I missed Margaret (still haven't got her even though I'm on hard mode cause... it's Empress link. You understand lol) and the True-True end until a revisit of the same file by sheer luck lol. May need a guide to look up how to handle Empress link in P4 if I replay it...
Reminds me: some of Elizabeth's request is like P4 Empress link. I couldn't do quite a few of them =(
So she's kind of similar to Naoto in that sense huh? :P And I bet the courage social link is Fuuka lol.
The only game where I planned my demons is Nocturne. (And in the end got a different team than intended with Matador/Hell Biker/Daisoujou. I originally planned Matador/Pyro Jack/Byakko, so Matador is the only one that I kept.) I only really want Beelzebub, but I decided to go with Surt because I'm sure he's pretty useful mid-game. Too bad about him being awful though which I'm assuming end-game, though is Odin any good? He looks pretty damn good, especially for a Persona you get mid-game.
