The key is to develop your own style, so don't imitate me. My suggestion is to look at photos of animals, cars, people ect. and draw them. Even if you think it looks like crap, keep going, look at what you did wrong and self improve. You'll get better and better :3
Cartoons are a great way to learn anatomy, and drawing Pokemon really helped with that, but the thing is, most people don't stop drawing like the original art and never become unique.

Hee hee, thanks. Well, you know, if you practice a lot and try to develop your own style than imitate artists like Sumigori, you're better off. It's a good idea to use references as well - they can help a lot!
If you keep going for it, I think you could be a great artist as well.
