Ah, see that, that I like. I love the natural flow of that piece. Usually I'm not a big fan of that sketchy, cross hatch look.. but this more "traditional" art sells it to me. The best part is that negative space. <3;

Well, those pages were from Berserk. A manga whose art, in my opinion, is the best I've seen in any japanese manga. Just wanted to see what you thought of its art. :3 If you're a fan of mature story-telling, you should definitely check it out sometime.

Edit: Wait, now that I think about it, there's this one too. I don't read it but the art looks amazing!

Right off the bat, I think that guy in the first panel (where he's standing next to the girl) looks so weird. His head / neck is too big for his body and his torso is too long. But hey, that's streamlining for you. It's going to happen when you have to scale things down for dramatic purposes. The style is pretty unique, and I definitely like the partial departure from a classic eastern style. I, personally, would dull out those blacks a little though. That guy from the first panel is so dark and some grayscaling (as opposed to cross hatching) would make it easier on the eyes, in my opinion. Other than that, the natural flow of the panels is consistent and dynamic. And that second page is.. so amazing. Reminds me very much of TWD covers, with heavy foreground / background. Is it hugely different from every other comic I've read? No; but it's definitely professional work. I don't know what the text says at the bottom there (all I can see is "net") but keep up with whatever you've got going because, artistically, there's a lot of merit here.

Haha, I found the image funny too. :p But I understand. I know Dexter's pretty awesome. Seen only a single episode myself but I loved it. Still, doesn't make me any less disappointed. :c
