Haha, I guess I grew up with DBZ and Pokémon so I'm not really thinking I'm going to keep it stay that way until I fully grow up. I'm more inclined to art, so I suppose I'm going to watch anime like crazy to get around how they draw stuff. I know all the TV connections these days seem to have their problems, Asianet for one blocked CN the all summer back in the day. Wow, you sure are lucky :P Where did you find anime to watch by the way?
That's true though, I'm not used to watching anime anymore either lol.
I like the mixed bag type of genre, ones that usually include action and revenge and combat and fights with swords and PIRATTTTTTTESSSSSS ARR (I just lloovvee pirates after I watched Pirates of the Caribbean soooo)
Also I'm totally fine with a love story in the background, though I don't like those plots which are seriously inclined to them (as in give up life to save girl type) and ones with a lot of COMEDY as a part of suspense breakers.
Ahahaha, I see. No, it wasn't. My first anime experience was DBZ and Pokemon. But One Piece aired on cartoon network in 2005 every sunday so I watched it. It was fun. Though, like they do with most shows, they stopped airing it mid way. Then I forgot about OP for 5 years. In 2010, I started watching anime thanks to a tv channel called animax. But then stupid tatasky pulled the channel off. So I resorted to internet. During my ninth standard summer vacation, I had nothing to do. So I thought why not revisit the anime I used to love 5 years ago? And damn was I hooked. I watched 20 or sometimes 30 episodes per day and got caught upto the then latest episode 470 in about a month. From then on, I followed it weekly.
Though really, no anime/manga experience outside pokemon? That's a shame. There are so many gems like Death Note, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann and FMA out there. Gosh, you really need to see all these sometime!!
Really. You need to get into anime. It is SO MUCH more than just pokemon. Plus, most generations after jhoto sucked anyway imo. You'll probably love some actual storylines instead of plot rehashes that a pokemon watcher is probably used to.
What genre do you like, anyway? You watch movies too, right? Any genre that you like more than others? Because you'll find all kinds of anime and will probably like the ones that belong to your preferred genre more.
Haha, in fact I'm not quite the manga reader or anime watcher... I guess I've not done much more than Pokémon. I'm sure I would have different opinions had I been not inexperienced, but right now my status is somewhat like 'anything goes'. Was this your first serious manga/anime as well...?
Well actually the series is 725 chapters strong now lol. And the anime has 617 episodes. Just that the initial 200 chapters or so are badly translated. For example, certain character's names. Donquixote doflamingo ---> Tanjihade loluflamingo or Bellamy ---> Binami. I watched the anime only till 500 episodes or something so I never faced any problem. But yeah, see if translations at mangareader still seem bearable to you. I'd still advise against going for the manga initially, though.
But all that aside, no unlimited for you? Capped internet? ;[
Ooh how awesome. I found one on youtube. Check this out. Watch it fully, though. And the first 3-4 minutes have the story go in fast forward mode just so all the characters can be introduced. Everything will make sense so don't worry about the initial few minutes' content.
Heeyy not my fault. Your wording made it seem as if you do lol. And ehh, you can read it at any manga site like mangareader. Just type 'read one piece online' on google and you'll get it. BUT I heard that one piece's translation of the initial 200 chapters are kinda crappy. You're better off watching the anime instead. And, instead of telling you to go watch the 40+ episodes it usually takes people to make up their mind about the series, I'd advise you watch the 'episode of nami ova'. It is around 2 hour length, is a good indication of the kind of show one piece is and I got Alexial and her boyfriend hooked to the show by making them watch it. :p
But umm, aren't you fourteen? Unless I'm mistaken. Which I probably am not considering the fact that you told me about the presence my of username in one exam of yours. :p How did you catch the habit? Got into it due to seeing your peers do it? I don't hold anything against smokers, mind you, but to find a 14 year old smoker is a rare thing. At least for me. Someone who only has 18 year old smoker friends.
On an unrelated note, there's this character named Smoker in One-piece. He's badass as heck. Just got reminded of him while typing about smoking and smokers lawl.
