Yes. Yes you do. You made me think of it so the blame is on you. Any objections to my reasonable and 100% correct statement.

I'm glad you're not going to fall into those pit-traps then. But maybe you could add Cyrus trying to capture Kyogre so he can beat up Red for being to cool for school, because that's not random at all.

This video says everything that I wish to say to you, good sir.

Oh Jesus Christ. I have a sick mind? :O Lol.

Hehehe. Bear in mind, though, my hack is based in Tohjo. So.. Yeah. I'll tread carefully, I promise. :D

Just keeping in mind that I also could have given you horrible mental picture by saying that 'hooking up' was in reference to a dysfunction in the 'nether regions'. You have a sick mind :/

In that case, I do agree with you. I think it is one of the biggest tropes in hacking and I'm pretty sick of it tbh. When I see it happen my mind just instantly recognises it with the idea that a newbie hacker made it, no matter who's hack it actually is (Imagine if Harry did it. I think it would be the perfect time to say: Son, I am disappoint).

Yes. Yes I do need to use that term. 0_0
I didn't think anything of it at the time of posting, though, lol :D

Oh, well I don't even mean using old characters as Rivals, I just mean in a similar way that Red and Blue were used in GSCHGSS. ie, a way that makes relative sense. I'm talking like the odd epic-battle, and that has to be near enough to the end of the game. But not too obviously so, you know? Not like a blatant "oh-look-gsc-had-this-and-it-was-awesome-so-I-used-it-too" thing. :P

Do you need to use the term 'hook up' when you're speaking about viagra to another guy...? But if you swing that way... ;D

I guess you could say that I'm in the same mindset as you in a way. I definitely agree that it is far better for the protagonists to actually have something to do with the storyline and retain their characterisation (Maybe Silver becomes a recurring rival while he trying to hunt down Giovanni in your region or something) rather than just being randomly thrown in to get what little fanservice there is. Of course this is just applying your your average hack rather than any remakes :P. But what I would prefer to see and experience new rivals and NPCs than a rehash of the originals. If you want to use Red's OW and sprites, that's fine but basing him around a new character (i.e he isn't called Red) is pretty much a must for me.

They were two of my exams, yes. Irish was about two weeks ago, German was last week.

Sweet. You can hook me up with Viagra, then? xD

Oh, I see. If I'm understanding you correctly then I guess we're of the same mindset. I mean, I don't mind hacks that include previous protagonists as long as they fit the storyline, but I don't see much point in randomly placing them (As done in LP, though again, I don't mean to bad mouth it), and I really don't see the point in making a hack generally centered around them. It'd take a really, really good story to make that work well, and people tend to not be able to execute that too well. In my humblest opinion. :D

Ahh, that makes more sense. Were German and Irish two of your exams or are you just using them as an example of when you could get a break?

I paid $50 to get my doctorate from one of those online universities which are sponsored by Viagra and have cool pop-up adds which tell me I've won a free laptop. I'm not really sure what I majored in, but I'm sure it was awesome :D

You are slandering LP's good name I can live with people putting in old protagonists in their hacks, but I'll generally prefer hacks that have brand new rivals/ story-related NPCs instead of recycling Nintendo's. That battle against Red also freaked me out, it was very disconcerting :o

We only get breaks for exams that have listening-sections. For German, Irish and (obviously) Music, there's aural parts, so for the first two you get a break because you have to move to another exam centre, and for Music.. It's pretty much the same as the first two, really :D

You are a doctor, after all :D

Funnliy enough, I'm one who's not totally against including previous protagonists, provided it's executed well :3
Not to speak ill of Light Platinum, but I disagree with how WesleyFG used characters like Gold, Red, Diamond, etc. Randomly battling a talkative Red at the second Gym is.. Just plain wrong, IMO.

    How come you get breaks? We never got any over here... My hand sounded like a cement mixer after I finished writing anything of length ;_;

Yeah, of course I do. I'll save your life some day, I promise :)

Dude, you should also add Ash and Gold and Silver and Kris and Brendan and May and Wally and Lucas and Dawn and Barry and have them all go to a tournament and you have to beat them all to win the title of 'Champion of all Regions' and then you battle Mewtwo and Darkrai at the same time blindfolded and then Giovanni comes and gives you Arceus because you are the holder of the one ring to rule them all and then Steven comes and challenges you to a battle to decide the fate of humanity and if you win you can also go to that island where the GB trading card game took place and then you win the game and retire to the Bahamas. I also love ROM Hacking because you can bring an amazing story like this to life :3

I guess I really should be getting back to it.. I'm in the Library (school library) taking advantage of the computers while nobody else is here.
I do have exam notes open in another tab, though... Ugh. This is goin gto be such a long ass exam. 1:30 to 4:45. With like a 10 minute break in between, but still :(

Do you? Jokes aside, I'd love to do a first aid course sometime. Handy fo when ya chokez. Well, when other people chokez. Haha :D

Also, I did some tile changes yesterday. And made the final boss of my hack a Shiny Pikachu, with Volt Tackle and Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant. And when you beat it you get 10 Master Balls, and access to Hoenn, Sinnoh, Johto, Unova, and if my thread gets enough positive comments, I'll add Orre, too. Oh how I do love ROM Hacking.

Disclaimer: You don't have to reply to any of my VMs right away if you're doing last minute studying.

Home and Away as well as Neighbours? lawl. Australians have the best slurred speech in the english-speaking world. We're too lazy/ laid-back to pronounce syllables distinctly so we just let them run into one another all the time :)

Don't worry! I know the Heimlich maneuver! You'll be out of your pain soon!

    Good boy.

    Haha. Well...
No offence, of course, but when you guys say itv (definitely when someone with an Aussie accent says it, anyway), it sounds like "drawring" (accidentally the same as my usertitle, ignore please). Not that that's wrong, it's just when I hear them say it on Home and Away or Neighbours I'm always like "Haha. DRAWRING." :P

OH GOD I IS CHOKING. WHAT THE HECK DOES THIS MEAN, KEY SIGNATURES? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?! Lol.

    Also... *pat pat*

Damn, I'm blind But the message got through this time! Give yourself a pat on the back :D

In that case: DON'T CHOKE, I'M BEGGING YOU

Is there something about 'drawing' that makes it sounds different/ funny in other accents? Anyway, I agree with that idea if only because I also lol'd :P

    Also, were you on MSN at that time[?] because so far I've never seen you on - I just want to make sure that I actually have you because my MSN has difficulty adding people ;_;
I know you didn't ask a question THIS time, but I just mean my VMs never send when there's a conversation going, haha.

I know, right? I mean I felt pretty alive when they were done last year :D
Lol, but I do know what you mean, it's different this year, it actually matters to me what I get, haha.

Also I had a random idea. Given that yourself, Harry and myself have different accents, next time we should so definitely saw the word "drawing" and see how different it sounds. Yes, yes, totally random, but I thought of it and just lol'd a little :D
