xD I have msn on my profile under the tab 'Contact info'.
Lol, pushing the Vm limits ;P
Keep me up to tabs on your other courseworks you haven't done yet once I wanna know what your school does for them.
For Media we did 'Jaws' and for Shakespeare we did 'Romeo and Juliet'. For the final one (I forget the name) we're doing some random old play called 'Applicant'.
Our maths teacher is soooo strict, if you get below 14/20 in more than two chapter tests, you're OUT. If you miss too much school, you're OUT. If he doesn't like you, you're OUT. Div 1 is a running joke in our school, it's like 'Oh, you're Div 1? Are you a protegé (sp?) or are you screwing the teacher?'. Luckily the teacher likes me because I'm an international student and therefore have more initiative than the local kids *cough*. Actually I just have the worst memory for formulae and make them up on the spot to fit whatever I need to do >.>
Our third set are doing War of the Worlds I think, we're doing Journey's End and then the other set got to do something I was actually interested in (I forget what it was now though). Journey's End only has two characters, yet it's four hours long or something o.o
We don't take ICT as an exam but we take a class anyway, once a week, same with Religion and Ad Vitam (random stuff). The first week, the teacher asked us to make a website using HTML, so I made one straight off, while most other people mucked around. Now I get to muck around with them, the difference being that I got extra points for it
We don't do mocks in anything yet o.O Drama is just sitting in a circle discussing the latest gossip in school and somehow turning it into a roleplay xD Art - we've done a module and a half and I'm a steady high-B -.- I'm gonna pwn it in my final exam though. *fingers crossed*
I talk waaaay too much. Do you have msn/skype so that I don't feel like I'm writing the longest VMs ever? xD
I was actually top of my Math class last year, but I started skipping class and now I'm almost completely lost in GCSE and clinging to my place in the highest set.
We too have a female dominated English class and we did War of the worlds, maybe they're just the preferred choice of essay. An A in that was rather easy.
We've only done almost all of the courseworks cause we're moving school grounds next year so we're getting all our first drafts done this year, but I'm quicker then most people so if need be I can do two or three drafts in the time given.
I tend to not mention ICT, I get A's but so do like 89 other people in my year, seriously three split top sets of 30 students and I heard that most of them got A's in the coursework. And it's surprising cause it's particularly easy.
In Media we haven't done any coursework yet, so my teacher hates me because I tend not to try for mocks.
In Drama too we are only doing mocks, and you might kill me after I say this but, I skip most of the time.
Don't worry, when we stop doing mocks I'll take it seriously...
In Art I got A in my first two courseworks and predicted grade A ;P
In our school we have to do all three sciences either as Double Award (two GCSEs for the price of three D: aka complete waste of time) or Triple, which is what I'm doing - however, the sciences are the ones that I was offered to do early because I switched schools and apparently my old school did like... all the GCSE course in Year 8 and 9, so now I just mess around in class :D
I get As and Bs too most of the time, my options are History, Spanish, Drama and Art, and I almost dropped Art a few weeks ago when I found out my predicted grade was a B (slight perfectionist), and it took my mum to yell at me that me getting a B means I'm doing better than most people for me to keep it up xD I don't like taking a subject unless I'm likely to get an A v.v
I'm about the same in English :O Except we've only done one official coursework and two other possibles, but I got As in all of them, and we're just starting the 19th century drama (Journey's End - obviously you pick a war story for a class with twelve girls and four boys. Dumb teacher), and we're doing random war poems every so often. I'm top of the class in Drama apparently as well, thanks to the fact that I've been doing Drama Practicals AND Theory since I was tiny, so I know what the teacher's talking about xD In the Parent-Teacher meetings she said 'Georgia is an oasis of calmness, intelligence and maturity in a desert of immaturity and ignorance' xDDDD Which my parents found hilarious. But chya, I'm that kid in class P:
In my Science module ones (we've done Physics and Chem so far) I got 48/50 and 50/50... so yeah >.< Don't worry about sounding like a nerd. Oh and I'm the top non-Asian kid in my year at maths, apparently in the top 4 percent in the British Commonwealth o.o' Maths is my best subject other than Drama, though I enjoy every subject I take.
To be honest, I just like learning in general xD And I like debating/talking, so that's why I'm good at English - I can write an essay without having a clue what it's about and still get a B for my language/persuasive skills, according to my teacher o.o
I'm a complete geek in school, but I figure... if I'm gonna be at school for another four years, I'm not wasting 9 hours a day, five days a week for four years, I'm gonna get damn good marks or it's pointless
=O I'm in year 10 too.
ICT is compulsory in our school so we only got 3 opitions. I chose Media, Art and Drama.
I'm in our Science gifted and talented class, and so we can do the additional applied bit (a third science GCSE) we took the year 10 ones in year nine, we're doing the year 11 ones now and so on.
That's the only subject I took early though. I'm still pretty average a student though. 1 A and high B's in the 6 tests I've taken. In the first chemistry one we took I got a low C >.> But I retook it.
I'm pretty good at English though. Got A* on my original writing first draft. A on my 19th century drama first draft. A on my Media second draft. And A* on my Shakespeare second draft. (One more Coursework to do yet, two weeks late xD)
Meaning if I get A or A* on my final piece of English coursework, I'll get a A* coursework average, so if I flunk the exam, I'll still pass.
I sound so nerdy now but English is my best subject. I suck at Math and Science IMO (even though I get B's and the odd A).
I'm gonna guess you're English system? If so, I'm Year 10 Just started the GCSE course in August, but I was given the option to sit half of them a year early *cough*possibly a bit of a geek*cough*, but my mum wouldn't let me xD
But yeah, I'm doing Drama - it's my favourite GCSE subject actually
