We all know it takes hours and hours of hardcore cardio to truly lose the stubborn fat you don't want. Your body is naturally inclined to want adipose tissue (fat). It takes up hardly any resources once it's made and can be called upon easily when you need the extra energy. Lean muscle, on the other hand, takes a tooon of blood and oxygen to stay maintained. Your body naturally dislikes this amount of effort and attempts to break this muscle down if you're not maintaining your muscle mass by working out - once it goes inactive... your body attempts to eat it up. Basically, your body would rather you be fat - it's up to you to change that. Nutrition science is pretty interesting, no?
