    programming in C, using devkitpro (compiler, libs, linkers, etc) and using PAlib library (although that's gonna be dropped)

    most graphics are just placeholders xD Even the guy and the white frog's sprites are gonna have improvements.
    Engine goes before design. ;)

    Wow, I've played it and the graphics need improving. xD Even though you're still making it. Also, the sprite was nice. Um, yeah I'll keep looking for new & updates!

    In http://baro.drunkencoders.com/ you can find news and updates. Currently there's two demos of tanuki Tail (the zelda-style game), and the other game is still in concept (and may even never be done), but I'll probably ask here about suggestions since it'll share concepts with pokemon, so you may notice it.

    Mainly it was starting in college, and learning actual programming. It was like, hey, they're teaching me Pascal, which is one of the lamest languages around, and scripting is even more lame.

    So hacking suddenly turned uninteresting. Now I'm programming actual games (http://baro.drunkencoders.com/). I've started a zelda-like adventure game and I'm thinking on the design of a easier-to-do game (this one relays too much on collisions and gets complicated).

    I'm telling you this because the current game I have in mind as secondary project is a RPG based on Pokemon (catch mons to fight with), with lots of changes in the battle system to make it interesting.
