Thanks for the reply and clearing everything up! I kind of have the same issue with getting ideas after I've already written something as well.
I personally like a pretty large variety of fics. I honestly prefer manga fics the best because the characters in the manga are my favorite. I also tend to stay away from fics that are like....Ash harems. I honestly don't like Ash all that much, so I prefer to read away from him in general.
I've enjoyed rewrites of the canon storylines (for instance, somebody rewriting the RSE game storyline with their own touches or something).
AU fics tend to be some of my favorites because they have so much possibility and there are so many ideas to explore. It's interesting seeing what kinds of changes people would make to the anime, the manga, or the game if they had the choice.
I'm a little more hesitant about all-OC stories (although creating OCs can be fun) because I don't have any kind of perspective on the characters prior to reading and it makes judging the story itself more difficult. I don't have anything against it, really. Some can be really well done and I even like attempting to write them myself, but for reviewing purposes, it is a little bit more of a challenge. Not to mention a majority of OCs kinda turn Mary Sue-ish.
As for writing, I plan on doing AU, maybe a rewrite or two, and maybe a OC-ish story....kinda. IT's really more what comes to mind though.

I don't mind at all!
Unfortunately, I have a problem where as soon as I finish a story, I always get a better idea for it and I rewrite it all over again. I mostly tend to write alternate universe fics, where I see what happens to the world/characters if a little something about the world changes.
On PC, I don't really have the time right now to go to other places here. If I do have the time, I just check every board to see if there's a thread that catches my eye. Aside from FF&W, I'd say that the board I have the most interest in is the Let's Play forum, since I really enjoy watching and reading those.
Nidoking is my favorite Pokemon. I'm also a fan of Pikachu, Charizard, and Lucario.
Favorite universe is the anime one.
Favorite region is a tie between Johto and Unova.
FF&W tends to fluctuate in popularity. Sometimes, there's a lot of people posting stories, questions, and reviews. Other times, it's very quiet. It depends on the time of year and how much free time people have. Like right now, it's a quiet time because of the holidays and school for people.
There's two groups of people here when it comes to posting their writing. One group posts their stories at a steady, reliable rate no matter what. Others either quit posting or very slowly update due to how lacking FF&W can get with reviews. It depends on what the person wants out of writing, I guess.
The main board of FF&W is where all in-progress fics go. Except for poetry, which has its own subforum.
Your questions aren't a bother at all. I'll even admit to being egotistical enough to like answering questions about myself. And it's always great to meet someone this interested in FF&W.
And if you don't mind, I'd like to ask what kind of fics do you like to read, and what kinds are you planning on writing?
EDIT: (Also, I go by male pronouns, so my displayed gender is what I identify as.)

Thanks a lot! I'd love to learn about the fanfic community here. I'm a little unsure about how it works here. I started off on fanfiction.net and this is obviously different than ff.
If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to know a little more about you. For starters, do you post work on the FF&W board? If so, what kinds of writing do you do?
What other boards do you like to wander into?
What's your favorite Pokemon?
Which Pokemon universe is your favorite? (anime, game, manga)
Which region is your favorite?
Okay well...I suppose it's better to focus more on what I signed up for.
Is the writing section a popular section on PC?
Do people who start writing tend to stick with their projects here?
Under the Fanfiction archive, it says finished works go there. Is there a place for works-in-progress?
Hope my questions aren't too overwhelming or impulsive! If I'm getting on your nerves, just let me know!
Thanks again for taking me under your wing~
