When I quit smoking? In hindsight, no, the withdrawl wasn't all that bad. I was a little *****y, supplemented the nicotine with coffee so I was antsy, got mild headaches (which could easily be attributed to the changing weather), and a few other non-noteworthy things. At the time though, it was awful. Not so much the lack of nicotine, but having to stop the ritual of smoking. I had a routine; get up, make coffee, have a smoke or three, go to work/school, have another smoke, etc etc. And stopping myself from craving that habit, not inhaling a substance while I drink coffee, not lifting my hand to my mouth while driving, was much harder to break than the chemical component.
