Mimi was definitely the character that had a lot of development. It was just so much fun to see how much she grew during her adventure in the DigiWorld. And it's always the opposite Children/Digimon pairings that are my favorites, like Mimi and Palmon, Jyou and Gomamon, or Miyako and Hawkmon.
I have played the first Digimon World game! It's been years since I played it, especially since I could never keep a Digimon alive long enough to make it far through the game. I've always preferred the regular RPG games, like Digimon World 3 or Digimon World DS. Though Digimon World Championship is a great time-waster!
TK was always pretty fun but I don't feel like he was given the same character development as some of the others - it's a shame since he was one of my favourites too haha. Mimi probably ended up being my overall favourite just because she's so much fun to laugh at, but I especially loved her interactions with Palmon. It was nice seeing them start off as such opposites but then start becoming more alike as the episodes went on. Plus who doesn't love copious amounts of Numemon/Sukamon stories? ;p
I don't suppose you've ever played the Digimon World PSX game?
I could never pick my favorite. :[ All of the Child Digimon from Adventure were my favorite as some point while I was watching the show. But Patamon is higher on my list of favorites because Takeru's my favorite Chosen ever. The Patamon from Frontier was also adorable, and helped me to love Patamon!
I don't think there is a Child Digimon I don't like.
Hiya, do you play Pixelmon often/know of any good servers for it? Me and Olli have spent all day looking but they're all so laggy that it's unplayable haha. If you've got any recommendations I'll pay you in cute Dedenne pictures!
Actually, that kind of answers the first question. I haven't read a Pokemon fanfic without the intentions of reviewing it in over a year. So all I've read are ones that very clearly need improvements. You could try the Fanfiction of the Month list, which is the best of FF&W as voted by the community. If you want to read a bigger variety than just what PC offers, I'll find the list my friends suggested for me that covers various sites.
As for your own writing, my only suggestions are:
-Grammar could use a little cleaning. There weren't any major mistakes that were distracting. I only found them when I went looking for them.
-More description. I don't know if maybe it was from the format of your post (since it's not actually a story but it still is), but I would have liked to see more of the character's thoughts and feelings. This got better towards the end of the entry when Cheryl died, but it was missing a little in the beginning. There's also the advice that Pokemon battles could always use more description to make them interesting. Up the stakes a little. This will also add to the Pokemon's personalities so that their triumphs and possible deaths hit the reader harder.
I hope this helps and makes a little sense. I can explain more if need be. If you have any other writings, I'd be willing to look them over and hopefully respond to them sooner than a month!
