At least you're not dead, that's for sure.

It can develop into pneumonia and cause death if it isn't treated but mine has been treated. I'm almost completely over it now. I know I still have another week or two before I'm 100% again but I feel a lot better

Well, is the damage permanent (or some of it anyway?)

Yes. Mine has started to infect the top part of my lungs and is also in my throat. I've lost most of my voice because of it. Each day is better though.

I had some personal issue to deal with and right now I'm fighting off bronchitis. So I've been doing nothing but sleep that past 3 days.

It's hard to say since you don't know them or what they have all done. I really don't want to go into it but let's just say I have my own opinion of them and how I feel about them.

If all they did was leave them in the care of their other relatives or, barring that, complete strangers, then they would be bad parents in my book.

Based on my history. Maybe. I do have some issues and wounds from them that will never heal but they are still my family and I do love them.

Ah, that makes sense. Do you see these two as bad parents?

Well my dad and step mom didn't take much time to really teach her anything. She still has issues reading and she is 14 years old. It's not that she has any learning disabilities it's just that no one taught her anything when she was young so she has to be taught it now. I would've but I didn't know about it until it was pretty much too late. I'm also worried because they have spoiled her but mainly with food. I'm worried she might have (or will get diabetes). Her mom (my step mom) has diabetes and already had it while she was pregnant with my half-sis.
